Last Summer Hurrah: Yonder's Kinfolk Celebration | Preview

It’s been another great summer for live music in Colorado. From the majestic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison to the main stage at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the state has again proven itself to be a major destination for all kinds of acts. As the season winds down and the weather (hopefully) starts to get cooler, the local boys of Yonder Mountain String Band still have one trick up their respective sleeve.

Day 3 @ 2012 Outside Lands Festival | Review & Photos

The final day of Outside Lands came and went, and I have never been more upset to see a festival end. My body, on the other hand, is thrilled. I spent the cloudy “Sunday Funday” of Golden Gate Park’s music festival planted at Land’s End Stage in Polo Field, determined to see Jack White with my own eyes as opposed to on the Megatron screen.

Widespread Panic To Release Double Live Album & Box Set | WOOD

Widespread Panic has announced the October 16 release of Wood, a double live CD featuring selections from the band’s first-ever fully acoustic 2012 Wood Tour. A special limited edition 3 LP Wood boxed will be released simultaneously. Wood will be available digitally and at retail.

The Funk Ark 2012 Summer Tour Continues in Chicago

After a highly praised 2011 debut, Washington DC’s The Funk Ark surprised the critics with a soon and even tighter follow up album: High Noon. In just a couple of years since the release of From The Rooftops on ESL Music, the world funk ensemble has established itself as one of the strongest players in the scene both in the studio and with their high-octane live performances.

Melody Walker Releases 'Gold Rush Goddess' & Announces Tour

Melody Walker’s debut album, GOLD RUSH GODDESS, will be released nationally Aug. 28, but she and partner Jacob Groopman already have reason to celebrate: With their band Front Country, they won the band competition at RockyGrass, the July festival founded 40 years ago by bluegrass icon Bill Monroe.

Tegan and Sara Add West Coast Tour Dates

Canadian pop-rock icons Tegan and Sara are hitting the road this Fall. Before linking up with The Black Keys for the west coast leg of their arena tour, Tegan and Sara just announced that they'll be playing a handful of club shows leading into it. They'll hit Vancouver, Seattle, Boise, and Eugene before playing at the Harmony By The Bay Festival in San Francisco. Additionally, the band is confirmed to play Austin City Limits this October.

Ben Sollee at eTown Hall

Ben Sollee is excited to announce that he will be performing at eTown's brand new facility, eTown Hall, on August 23rd, 2012 for an intimate evening of music and conversation. The concert will be taped in front of a live audience for future broadcast, and will also feature Australian songstress Missy Higgins. Sollee will perform songs from his upcoming release Half-Made Man, to be released on September 25th, 2012.

Rachel Brown's Debut Album, Building Castles Streets 9/18/12

Rachel Brown will be releasing her debut EP Building Castles on September 18th, 2012.The singer-songwriter, who was born and raised in New York City with Ethiopian, Bermudian and Southern roots, fuses pop, Caribbean, Hawaiian, country, hip-hop and world sounds into Building Castles' six self-penned songs.

The EP's first single, "Bumblebee," will be accompanied by a music video directed by Rex Arrow Productions founder Ian Wolfson (Mac Miller, Nelly).

Lonesome River Band Schedules 3 Nashville Shows

The award-winning LONESOME RIVER BAND fresh off a Hollywood, CA performance this past weekend, will head back to Nashville today for three Nashville concerts this week.  The group will no doubt thrill fans with performances at MUSIC CITY ROOTS Live from the Loveless Barn, SiriusXM Bluegrass Junction STUDIO SPECIAL taping (live audience), and WSM Radio’s STATION INN SESSIONS.
