Dangermuffin | 'Olly Oxen Free' | New Music Review

Olly Oxen Free, the newest album from South Carolina-based band Dangermuffin, is a fun listen. Blending elements of roots rock with a sprinkling of southern slides, improvised instrumentals, and meandering drum breaks, the trio plays an interesting sort of rambling-jam music that showcases quite a bit of range.

Now there is a third. Dave's Picks Volume 3 features the complete October 22, 1971 concert from the beautiful Auditorium Theatre in Chicago on two discs, with a third disc culled from the previous night's scorcher at the same venue.

Elephant Revival Releases Songbook at Telluride Bluegrass Festival

Elephant Revival is releasing a limited edition songbook featuring original artwork from each band member.  The color printed hard cover book includes lyrics, chord charts, notations and arrangements for songs off the first two albums as well as ten new songs.  The publication is being released in conjunction with three of these songs; "Quill Pen Feather," "Part of a Song"and "Don't Drift Too Far," as a preview for their independent, grass roots, short-running fall release.
