As TheBigWonderful prepares to celebrate its 5th anniversary this upcoming weekend, May 5th & 6th at the Old Denver Post Building, Denver’s premiere popup curators behind BEERFEST, BLUEGRASS and BAZAAR are excited to announce a special Leftover Salmon Something Higher record release performance and album signing on Sunday, May 6th at TheBigWonderful.

THE MAGPIE SALUTE is an exciting new band that features musicians who have played together for decades throughout various projects and share a musical bond. The band brings Rich Robinson, the guitarist and co-founding member of The Black Crowes, together with two key members of Crowes fame - guitarist Marc Ford and bassist Sven Pipien - alongside drummer Joe Magistro and guitarist Nico Bereciartua.

TAUK recently released the Shapeshifter I: Construct EP and have been on tour all month in support of the release. Today the expansive instrumental quartet releases a live video of "Malware", recorded by Tim McG Photo at The Fineline in Minneapolis at the top of the run.

JEFF BECK will embark on a 6-week U.S. tour this summer including seven solo shows in addition to the previously announced “Stars Align Tour,” with Paul Rodgers and Ann Wilson of Heart.  Joining BECK on this year’s outing will be long-time collaborators, Vinnie Colaiuta (drums) and Jimmy Hall (vocals) as well as long touring partner, Rhonda Smith (bass) and newcomer, cellist Vanessa Freebairn-Smith.

Full of lyric and melody driven stories, SUN SITS LOW, carries 10 songs, each of a very distinct character. One can enjoy dreamy ballads like Yukon River, Old Boy, and Gloria, colorful-expansive tunes like St. Jude’s Fire, White Clover, and Hurricane, to the more chicken-pickin’, 4-to-the-floor swing your partner vibes of title track Sun Sits Low, and Freedom is Word I Want You Knowin’.

Premiering today, Rusty Young’s newest video, “My Friend” from his debut solo album, Waitin’ For The Sun, which was released last September on Blue Élan Records.  The warm and joyful “My Friend” features Richie Furay and Timothy B Schmit.

Hamilton Folk duo Twin Within has teamed up with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and Hidden Pony Records for a live re-work of their 2015 album Horizontal Lines (released via Hidden Pony). The band collaborated with Chris Ledroit on the re-arrangement who has experience converting indie works to full orchestral arrangements for the Hamilton Philharmonic.
