Currently on the road in support of their recently released new album, Coming Down The Mountain, Mipso are coming to Avon and Keystone, CO as part of their Summer 2017 Album Release tour. On April 7th, 2017, acclaimed Chapel Hill quartet Mipso released their highly anticipated new album, Coming Down The Mountain, to rave reviews. It quickly shot up the Billboard album charts and debuted in the Top 5 of the Bluegrass Album Charts.

The video for “I Saved A Bird Today,” the new song from Grammy-Award wining guitarist Peter Frampton, is premiering via NPR Music, who hail, “Frampton’s most recent recordings have recast the singer-guitarist as a gentler acoustic chronicler of life, but his softly accented charm and charisma remain intact.” The video was made by the dreambear production company and animators Antonio Corral and Manuel Casares. Now in their 48th year, King Crimson will be returning to America in the Fall of 2017! The new dates see the group performing in some states and cities that have not been visited in a while. Atlanta, Georgia, for example, last had live Crimson music in 2001, while Texas has experienced something of an epic Crimson drought since 1974, not counting ProjeKct Three's week-long residency in the Lone Star state during March 1999.

Richmond, Va.-based guitarist Thorp Jenson has officially announced the release of his forthcoming debut album, Odessa, out October 20. In conjunction with the announcement, Jenson shared the album's first single "Oklahoma" at Glide who called the track, "Spirited and energetic," and praised Jenson as, "A vibrant songwriter and dynamic frontman."

Last week, Brooklyn Comes Alive announced a massive artist lineup, with over 100 artists slated to perform 35+ sets of music over two days in the heart of Williamsburg.

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood have released an official video for "Behold The Seer." It's the opening track from the band's new studio album, 'Barefoot In The Head,' out this Friday, July 21 on Silver Arrow Records.

There's a great scene in The Last Waltz – the documentary about The Band's final concert – where director Martin Scorsese is discussing music with drummer/singer/mandolin player Levon Helm. Helm says, "If it mixes with rhythm, and if it dances, then you've got a great combination of all those different kinds of music: country, bluegrass, blues music, show music…"

To which Scorsese, the inquisitive interviewer, asks, "What's it called, then?"
