Today, Americana-Folk quintet Forlorn Strangers released their brand new video for “Bottom of the Barrel” exclusively through Elmore Magazine. “Bottom of the Barrel” is the first single from the Nashville group’s debut self-titled full-length release out on August 5, 2016.

For 18 years, Yonder Mountain String Band has redefined bluegrass music, expanding the traditional acoustic genre beyond its previously established boundaries by steadily pushing the envelope into the realms of rock n' roll and improvisation. New Orleans native John "Papa" Gros (pronounced grow) has spent more than a quarter-century behind the piano championing the music of the Big Easy. He turns over a new leaf with his second solo album, River’s on Fire, which is set for release August 26th.  It’s a record that mixes the sounds of rock & roll, funk and rootsy Americana into a genre-bending gumbo that carries on the tradition of New Orleans, both honoring its past and helping to shape its future.

Steve Gumble, of Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, and Craig Ferguson, of Telluride Bluegrass Festival, have joined together to announce two very special shows from legendary guitarist and songwriter Neil Young in the world-famous mountain town of Telluride, Colorado.  

As announced yesterday by Consequence of Sound, Moon Hooch will tour the U.S. this fall. It will be their first extensive run of shows in the States since their new studio album, 'Red Sky' was released in June.

Not many musicians get to realize their early dreams, but in recording “Spinoza’s Dream,” singer/songwriter Dave Nachmanoff has fulfilled several at once. A huge fan of Al Stewart as a teen, Nachmanoff has assembled most of the musicians who played on some of Stewart’s iconic albums in the 70s to back him up here.

LOCKN' has announced the "Friends" who will perform with Phil Lesh at this year's festival, including Jon Fishman & Page McConnell (Phish), Joe Russo (Joe Russo's Almost Dead) and The Infamous Stringdusters on Saturday, and Chris Robinson Brotherhood with a special guest sit-in by Gary Clark Jr. on Sunday. Saturday's Phil Lesh & Friends performance featuring Jon Fishman & Joe Russo will invoke the double-drumming spirit of the Grateful Dead.
 

On September 14, 2002, hard rock pioneers Deep Purple took the stage for a landmark concert at the NEC in Birmingham, England to bid farewell to founding member and keyboard legend Jon Lord.

On August 26, Eagle Rock Entertainment will deliver this very concert with the release of Live At The NEC on DVD and Digital formats [MSRP $14.99]. Previously only available as part of the Around The World Live boxed set, this film is being made available for the first time as a standalone DVD.
