This summer marks the return of the much-anticipated Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration featuring Warren Haynes. The highly acclaimed fourth tour has just added two new dates in New York City and New Jersey to the previously announced seven performances. Curated by the Garcia family, the celebration will feature Garcia and lyricist Robert Hunter’s timeless original compositions and interpretations of songs that became standards at Jerry Garcia Band and Grateful Dead concerts.

Bob Dylan is getting his band together for the relase of Dylan's 37th studio album, Fallen Angels.  Dylan also will begin a tour on June 4th at the Chateau Ste Michelle Winery in Woodinville, Washington.

 

 

Dolly Parton is set to bring her boundless energy to stages in over 60 cities as she embarks on her first major U.S. and Canadian tour in more than 25 years. For the last 20 years, Parton has only played select dates in the U.S., but her 2016 tour will cover cities across North America. As one of the hottest concert tickets of the summer, Parton’s legion of fans are destined to sell out the shows quickly. Parton’s set-list will include hit songs all while weaving in a few new songs from her double-disc album Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits.

My first introduction to The Hip Abduction (“THA”) was in review of their upcoming release Gold Under the Glow (ILS Group/Caroline/Universal), and immediately I was taken in by the infectious grooves and catchy vocals the septet from the Gulf Coast of South Florida offer.  I immediately felt transported to a tropical beach with an umbrella drink in hand, an ocean breeze brushing against my face and warm sand between my toes, dancing with a beautiful collection of people carrying smiles as big as mine. &nbsp

With a long, arduous 2015 behind him, The Mother Hips’ cofounding guitarist Tim Bluhm slowly adjusts his seat center stage at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz, CA last Friday, February 26. It’s hard to tell if his facial expression bears sharp pain or intense anticipation.

Michigan troubadour, Joshua Davis is releasing his first new music since making it to the final three contestants on NBC’s The Voice singing competition last year. Recorded in Ann Arbor, MI in November, the 7” single features two new originals, "Always Going to be Here" and "Let Me In." Both vinyl and digital formats will be released to the public in April 2016, with pre-orders for the vinyl going live now.

Recently, Dylan Muhlberg of Grateful Web chatted with virtuosic flatpicker, singer/songwriter and bandleader Larry Keel. Two years after the heralded revival of The Larry Keel Experience, Keel and some esteemed collaborators are at it again with his new release Experienced. In a humbling conversation, Dylan and Larry dug deep into Larry’s musical past including his roots as a champion Telluride Bluegrass Award Winning Picker with his foundational band Magraw Gap, and of course all the beautiful music since.
