React Presents continues the tradition of bringing some of the most innovative and forward thinking artists through Chicago to celebrate the inaugural REACTion New Year's Eve. With critically acclaimed acts Zedd and Porter Robinson the past two years performing to over a combined 18,000 fans, React Presents is thrilled to welcome bass-heavy innovators ZEDS DEAD back to Chicago for a two night New Year's Eve Run at the Aragon Ballroom.

Incendiary American roots duo Billy Strings & Don Julin tap into the vein of the earliest bluegrass music on their new album Fiddle Tune X, back when bluegrass was a rough-and-tumble art form pouring out of the Appalachian mountains, made with great virtuosity and huge attitude.

Tom Lieber, founder of Lieber Guitars and apprentice of Doug Irwin, is recreating Jerry Garcia’s guitars in for the Grateful Dead's 50th Anniversary next year. Each of these hand-crafted masterpieces are being built in a limited edition of 12.
 

Gentle Giant is delighted to present its first "official" live recording since 1976's “Playing the Fool Live."

Titled “Gentle Giant Live at the Bicentennial,” the recording was taken from a concert on the eve of the United States' 200th Birthday--July 3rd 1976 at the Calderone Theater, Hempstead, Long Island, which was broadcast on radio station, WLIR.

There are no overdubs or other enhancements on this truly live recording. It features Gentle Giant unedited, uninhibited and unrepentant.

West Water Outlaws “Paranoid” New Year’s Eve at the Fox Theatre will feature one original set plus one cover set of the ENTIRE ALBUM of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”. The Yawpers and In the Whale join the special NYE show.

The Steel Wheels bring their Slipstream Tour to to Ozark on Saturday, October 18 , when they perform at Yonder Mountain String Band's Harvest Festival. Three days of Riot Fest is definitely a marathon and not a sprint, and although I did not make it as early as I anticipated either of these two days, I enjoyed what I saw especially the legendary The Cure set.
