The final amount raised for charity through Dead & Company's auctions in partnership with HeadCount, environmental organization REVERB, and a handful of other charities was $658,000! The D’Angelico Premier SS Guitar played on stage by Dead & Company’s Bobby Weir closed out its bid at $300,000 on July 16 at CitiField, the last stop of the tour.

A guitar played on stage by Dead & Company’s Bobby Weir has attracted a monumental bid of $250,000 in a charity auction being conducted throughout the band’s current summer tour.

As Dead & Company prepare to embark on their annual Summer Tour starting on June 11th at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, the non-profit organization HeadCount unveiled a new set of customized guitars that will be auctioned for charity at each concert. AJ Masthay, a contemporary artist who is extremely popular with Grateful Dead poster collectors, designed artwork on D’Angelico guitars that will be auctioned on the tour this summer, raising money for Dead Family Charities.

World-renowned Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart is gearing up for the Dead & Company summer tour which kicks off June 11 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. One of the busiest musicians alive, Hart is also currently preparing for the release of In The Groove, the first album from trailblazing world music supergroup Planet Drum in 15 years.
