Fresh off the heels of the G3 Reunion Tour with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai comes news that Eric Johnson will be honored by the Texas Heritage Songwriters Association on February 24, 2024 as he takes his place in the prestigious Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame. This momentous occasion will be marked by a weekend celebration where Eric will be joined by esteemed fellow inductees including Jack Ingram, Jon Randall, Ruthie Foster and Terry McBride.

Conceived in 1995 by the multi-Grammy nominated guitarist, JOE SATRIANI, the inaugural G3 Tour took place in 1996 bringing together three of the most iconic and virtuosic guitarists of their time: Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. Known for their incredible technical prowess, musical innovation and unique styles, the G3 tour was a celebration of guitar mastery and proved extremely popular, captivating audiences worldwide.

ERIC JOHNSON, the prolific Grammy-Award winning, Austin-based songwriter and guitarist releases TWO separate albums today! The Book of Making and Yesterday Meets Today are available now on CD, LP and cassette via his new partnership with Blue Élan Records. ERIC JOHNSON, the prolific Grammy-Award winning, Austin-based songwriter and guitarist releases his second set of two new singles today, “Sitting on Top of the World” and “Love Will Never Say Goodbye” from his forthcoming albums, The Book of Making and Yesterday Meets Today. The duo of album releases will be available on July 29, 2022 via his new partnership with Blue Élan Records.

The marquee boasted “Almost Sold Out” at the Arcada Theatre in St Charles, Illinois along the beautiful Fox River on a Friday night, 2/21/2020. Any fan of technical guitar playing was in the house as Eric Johnson performed screeching guitar solos and heavy rock for the first half.  If I thought this was going to be a new age type show I was wrong.  Eric Johnson was fishing for the biggest sound and he caught a whopper.

As another decade turns, the Austin, TX based prolific guitarist, vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist – ERIC JOHNSON - will release a new studio offering titled EJ Vol II, on February 28, 2020. To celebrate this 11th studio album, JOHNSON has a 55-date tour, spanning nearly 3-months. The tour will hit every major city across the U.S. and will also enter into Canada, for one show in Toronto as well.

Thirty years after his breakthrough solo release 'Tones' brought him national recognition, Texas guitar legend Eric Johnson is releasing his first all-acoustic album on October 7th via Provogue. Showcasing nine original compositions and four covers, 'EJ' is easily Johnson's most intimate album to date. "Ever since I was young, I've played piano and acoustic guitar in my private life," Johnson says. "This type of music has always been a part of me, but I never showcased it on any kind of bigger level, like a full acoustic record.
