Xavier Dphrepaulezz, aka Fantastic Negrito, was at home social distancing with his family like everyone else in the world and felt a need to connect, so he decided to ask people to send him videos of what they were doing to keep themselves sane during this unprecedented time in history. The request was met with surprising enthusiasm and he included the crowd-sourced footage in a video using his new song "Chocolate Samurai." The song will appear on his soon-to-be-announced new album.

The New York Guitar Festival and Arts Brookfield will present “Memphis Minnie: In Search of the Hoodoo Lady,” a free, outdoor concert celebrating the life and music of influential blues guitarist Memphis Minnie. The Saturday, June 1st, 7pm event will be held at Brookfield Place’s Waterfront Plaza in lower Manhattan. 

Today, Fantastic Negrito shares the video for "A Boy Named Andrew" from his sophomore album Please Don't Be Dead. The release arrives ahead of the 61st annual GRAMMY Awards airing Sunday, February 10, where he'll celebrate his second consecutive nomination for "Best Contemporary Blues Album."

On Monday, June 6, Bernie Sanders reached out to California voters in San Francisco with a message urging action in the California primary election the following day. Supporting this message was a fired-up and artistic mixture of politicians, social activists and the musical guests including Dave Matthews and Oakland, CA based Fantastic Negrito.
