The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a family concert series hosted at historic music venues across the country, allows kids to “move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon” (NY Times). Performing songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse band offers its core audience of families with children age ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity.

On July 12th, Round Records will release the two-disc set GarciaLive Volume 11, November 11th, 1993, Providence Civic Center, recorded in Providence, Rhode Island on what would be their final East Coast tour. The tour featured the band’s most acclaimed line up with Garcia (guitar/vocals), Melvin Seals (keyboards), John Kahn (bass), David Kemper (drums), Gloria Jones (backing vocals) and Jacklyn LaBranch (backing vocals).

Unlimited Devotion, the two-day musical throwdown held annually at the Ardmore Music Hall, in Ardmore, PA, returned this past weekend, and this year’s lineup may have been the best it’s ever pulled together. The weekend always acts in large part as a tribute to the music of The Grateful Dead, and this year offered a full performance of a Dead album each night—Workingman’s Dead on night one, and American Beauty on night two.

A massive crowd of the Grateful Dead faithful, with and without tickets, descended on the Hollywood Bowl for the first of two sold-out shows on Monday, June 3rd. Those lucky enough to get in were not disappointed. Seventeen thousand ecstatic music fans were treated to two sets of music from the Grateful Dead catalog and more.

Three-and-one-half years into its tenure, Dead & Company launched its summer 2019 tour on May 31 in the spacious Shoreline Amphitheatre, in the South San Francisco Bay region where The Grateful Dead legacy began more than 50 years ago.

Los Angeles is bursting with musicians, but few can boast resumes on the order of Paul Ill (bass, vocals), Mark Tremaglia (guitar and vocals), Randy Ray Mitchell (guitar, vocals), and Dan Potruch (drums).  Live and in the studio, they’ve played with such artists as Linda Perry, Courtney Love, Mick Taylor, Matt Sorum, Daniel Lanois, Jackie DeShannon, Elvin Bishop, Warren Zevon, Donna Summer, Billy Bob Thornton, Deron Johnson, and Keb’ Mo.

Terrapin Flyer is celebrating 20 years of touring with some of the most iconic members of the Grateful Dead family with a Summer Tour with Melvin Seals from the Jerry Garcia Band June 12 - 28th.  Terrapin Flyer has been performing with Melvin for 15 years including touring under the monikers of both JGB and Melvin Seals and Friends.   The 2019 Terrapin Flyer tour will hit the Midwest and Eastern United States including 2 festival stops.

Voodoo Dead continued their tradition of playing late night shows during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, with a two-night run at Republic NOLA on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th. Special guest Brandon "Taz” Niederauer joined the all-star band on guitar Saturday as fans enjoyed a rockin’ two-set show that kept the music going well into Sunday morning.
