This Saturday, the Boch Center will become the first performing arts center in Boston to offer on-site rapid COVID-19 tests to any patron attending that evening’s performances at the Wang and Shubert Theatres. Guests can be tested starting at 6:45 PM Saturday in the Wang Theatre reception area located directly to the right of the main theatre entrance. There is a $30 charge per test for guests who want to take part in the program. Results will be available in 15-30 minutes.

Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician Jason Isbell and his band the 400 Unit will release a special new covers album, Georgia Blue, October 15 with all proceeds benefitting three non-profit organizations: Black Voters Matter, Fair Fight and Georgia STAND-UP.

From the opening lines of “Ease Me Into Dying,” the leadoff track from Ross Adams’ latest album Escaping Southern Heat, Adams’ vivid poetry paints a picture of love lost, wanderlust, and the gritty reality of working-class America. Atop jangling guitars and a pulsing rhythm section, Adams evokes images of run-down Southern industrial mills and grimy New York subway stations as he sings of the ghosts of romances gone-by, laying the beautifully wistful foundation upon which Escaping Southern Heat is built.

The reconfigured venue can now fit more than 12,000 fans at every show. The new lineup includes; The Revivalists & Michael Franti (8/28), Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit which has been rescheduled to 9/2, Sublime with Rome & Dirty Heads (9/11), Gov't Mule & Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (9/16), and Ziggy Marley (10/5).

Borderland Festival is returning to Knox Farm State Park, September 18th-19th for 2 days of music, food, beer, crafts and more. The festival was cancelled in 2020 and is looking forward to it’s grand return to celebrate summer, community and of course music. Borderland will host more than 20 bands on three stages with a diverse mix of national and regional, rock, country, Americana and roots artists.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will be performing live in concert at the Wintrust Field in Schaumburg, IL on Sunday, August 22nd with special guest Brittney Spencer. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 21 at 10am CST.
