King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

In a spectacular showcase of psychedelic rock, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard is set to take over the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a two-day extravaganza on September 8 & 9, 2024. Known for their dynamic live performances and prolific output, the Australian band brings their vibrant discography and enigmatic stage presence to Colorado for an unprecedented three shows in two days.

As the weekend went on the temperatures got hotter, and so did the talent at Boston Calling 2023. Two fantastic days of music, featuring performers such as the Foo Fighters, the Lumineers, Alanis Morrisette, and The National, have already gone by, and now tens of thousands of people return to the Harvard University Athletic Complex to see what Sunday has in store for them.

The stats on King Gizzard’s colourful career are stacking up fast: 23 albums, 13 of them charting in the Top 20 in Australia, where they are now arguably the country’s most innovative, important and productive rock band. International critical acclaim. Headline festival appearances. And perhaps most importantly, a fervent worldwide fanbase who share endless memes, mixes, videos, graphics, theories and discussions, all through which they explore and expand what they have termed ‘The Gizzverse’.

Friday morning at Bonnaroo 2022 dawned hot and steamy like the preceding days. Many hardcore music fans were just getting ready to fall asleep in the muggy conditions. Then in mid-morning, clouds began to darken the sky, and the threat of thunderstorms shut down Centeroo for several hours. The blustery storm dropped a short downpour before quickly departing, and temperatures at the festival finally began to cool into more moderate summertime conditions.

Today, Desert Daze announces their 2022 artist transmission in celebration of their tenth installment of art and music in Southern California. This year will feature a return set from Tame Impala who had to cut off their 2018 headline set when a massive storm rolled in. Four years later, they will perform their groundbreaking second album, Lonerism, in its entirety on the weekend of the album’s 10th anniversary.

It’s 11am one morning in June 2021, and the musicians who compose visionary garage/psych/prog/electronic/metal/ambient/dream-pop/other-genres-not-yet-invented six-piece King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are plugging in their instruments, checking the microphones, setting the tapes rolling and beginning to jam. It’s a sacred process, one they’ve repeated countless times before in the dozen years since they formed.

After a two-year delay, Boston Calling returns to Allston, MA this May 27-29. A trio of great rock bands will be headlining the Memorial Day Weekend event, with Foo Fighters on Friday night, The Strokes on Saturday, and Metallica on Sunday night. Those three bands are just a taste of the more than fifty bands you can see over the course of the weekend.

Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has shared the lineup for this year’s edition of the internationally acclaimed camping festival, taking place June 16-19, 2022 on the Bonnaroo Farm, located just 60 miles southeast of Nashville in Manchester, TN. Bonnaroo 2022 will once again present a wide-ranging bill featuring a spectacular selection of top artists performing around the clock across more than 10 unique stages over the four-day festival.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are excited to announce their seventeenth studio album L.W., to be released February 26, 2021. The album serves as a direct follow-up to last year's full-length K.G., and is the third volume in the band's explorations into microtonal tunings (which began with 2017's Flying Microtonal Banana).
