North Beach Music Festival returns for its second year this December 9th–11th, 2022, and will once again take over the Miami Beach Bandshell and the adjacent Bandshell Park.

Suwannee Hulaween has unveiled its star-studded, dynamic lineup for the festival’s ninth edition, returning home to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida from Thursday, October 27 - Sunday, October 30.

Elevate, then Resonate, and now, Unify, the guys in GRAMMY-nominated funk sextet Lettuce have been sending not-so-subliminal messages with their music (and album titles) for going on three decades now.

Shape-shifting producer and multi-instrumentalist Marvel Years has dedicated his career to redefining electronic music’s traditional genre boundaries. Melding guitar instrumentation with studio beatmaking, the Vermont-born, New York-based artist fuels his productions with soul and blues to create the raw, bass-heavy signature sound that’s landed him multiple performances at Red Rocks alongside ZHU, STS9, and Pretty Lights.

In this day and age, a singular, definitive stamp of approval is a hard thing to come by. Unless, of course, you’re the modern funk band Lettuce and THE Bootsy Collins steps into the studio to put his timeless spin on your new record—which is exactly what happened when the band was tracking “Keep That Funk Alive” from their upcoming album Unify.

Northlands is ramping up and promises to be the biggest event in the region, with 15 bands over multiple stages.

“We super excited about this year,” says Northlands Director Seth McNally.  “We’ve curated a fantastic diversity of genres, basically an entire season worth of dynamic bands and lined them all up for one fantastic weekend of music.”

We’re bringing the funk to one of the most beautiful places this May, St. Croix, USVI! Funk It Up at The Fred will take place May 19th - 23rd. This festival will be stacked with live funk and soul for four full nights of music and fun. The All-Star lineup consists of George Porter Jr.

In a whirlwind of electric piano and unison horn lines, modern funk masters Lettuce are back with their second new single of 2022, “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.” Featuring a guest vocal appearance from Dumpstaphunk bass extraordinaire and “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” co-writer Nick Daniels, this uplifting funk freight train of a track is Lettuce keyboardist Nigel Hall’s reinterpretation  of a classic Clark Sisters tune that was written in similarly uncertain times.

To trace the lineage of numerous popular American genres, one only has to turn to the musical history of Chicago and absorb the city’s legacy as a cultural hub of jazz, blues, and rock n’ roll. Now, in honor of The Windy City’s rich background for diverse artistic innovation comes a first-of-its-kind music festival: SACRED ROSE.

That expression working its way across your face, furrowing your brow, scrunching up your nose, and inducing a slight head bob? That’s called “stank face” and it's a direct byproduct of ingesting music from the greasiest, funkiest band on today’s music scene, Lettuce. But don’t worry, the Boston-formed group has been having this effect on listeners and concertgoers for going on three decades with zero cases of permanent damage.
