“No matter where you’re from, all that you can do, is live in love; that’s enough,” Susan Tedeschi sang on August 23 in “Take Me As I Am,” a heartwarming ballad from the Tedeschi-Trucks Band’s new “I Am the Moon” four-album (and associated movies) bundle.

In terms of pure musicianship - the ability to play or sing well, both technically and expressively - the individual members of the Tedeschi Trucks Band are each gifted, seasoned and professional. Some, most obviously Derek Trucks himself, ascend to a level of artistry that transcends mere training and practice. They are accomplished, but more importantly, they are unique, and born to be so.

The musical chemistry between Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi is undeniable, bubbling over with an unparalleled creativity, passion and an innate ability to shake an audience to their core. The husband/wife duo first came together as Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi’s Soul Stew Revival in 2007, before forming what’s now known as the Tedeschi Trucks Band in 2010.

The String Cheese Incident will return to Runaway Bay, Jamaica for two back-to-back, all-inclusive Intimate International Incidents - joined this time by bluegrass royalty Sam Bush and his band (Jan 20-24, 2023), and world-renowned rock legends Los Lobos (Jan 24-28, 2023). The String Cheese Incident will perform 3 full intimate 2-set shows during each event, and each week will boast an array of collaborations, sit-ins, and activities for attendees to enjoy during their stay.

On May 30th, in honor of Dia de los Muertos The Caverns is hosting a special event to be aired on PBS later this year. The celebration of The Day of the Dead has become a globally recognized Latinx holiday, traditionally observed on the first two days of November. Dia de los Muertos sees families and friends of loved ones who have died pay respect with colorful, memorial gatherings often taking the air of a joyful celebration rather than of mourning for the departed.

For Taylor Scott, nothing is black and white. He operates in shades of grey between genres, creating his own colorful hybrid of roots-rock, funk, soul, and troubadour-style Americana. It's a sound that's as diverse as its creator, whipped into sharp shape by a musician who's equal parts guitar hero and singer/songwriter craftsman. He embraces the full range of those roles with The Hang, the third album from the Taylor Scott Band due to be released on August 5, 2022.

Los Lobos was awarded “Best Americana Album” for their 2021 studio album Native Sons at last night’s 64th Annual Grammy Awards. It is their fourth Grammy Award win. The 13-song Native Sons was produced by Los Lobos in East Los Angeles and found the band mapping their musical DNA as a kaleidoscopic selection of tribute songs from their homeland, ultimately creating a crucial snapshot of L.A.’s musical heritage.
