John Medeski's Mad Skillet has announced the November 9 release of its self-titled debut album via Medeski Martin & Wood's record label, Indirecto Records. Led by the hugely influential keyboardist and featuring guitarist Will Bernard and the legendary Dirty Dozen Brass Band rhythm section of sousaphonist Kirk Joseph and drummer Terence Higgins, Mad Skillet is first and foremost a product of New Orleans. The band's inception can be traced back to the late-night sets that go down every year during New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Medeski Martin & Wood with Alarm Will Sound have announced the release of a new album, 'Omnisphere,' due September 14 via MMW's own imprint, Indirecto Records. The collection poses a compelling question: What would happen if one of the most adventurous groups to emerge in jazz and improvised music in the last three decades were to join up with an orchestra that counts among the boldest forces in contemporary classical?

Medeski Martin & Wood have announced two shows in Cleveland at On Air Studio on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19. They'll be joined each night by special guests and lifelong collaborators: guitarist Marc Ribot, trumpeter Steven Bernstein and percussionist Cyro Baptista. Also on the bill are turntablists DJ Logic and DJ Olive.

Celebrating 25 years together in 2016, Medeski Martin & Wood recently announced two very special shows at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City on Wednesday, October 19 and Thursday, October 20. Both performances immediately sold out. Thus a third and final night has been added on Tuesday, October 18. Tickets are on sale now.

From their debut performances at the Village Gate, a historic jazz club located on the west side of Lower Manhattan, to their high-profile collaborations with an eclectic variety of musicians, avant-jazz funk trio Medeski, Martin & Wood have developed a signature style that has continued to push the boundaries of American jazz for the last 23 years.

Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood have announced a North American tour this December to support their forthcoming studio album, Juice, out September 16 from Indirecto Records. The ten-night run will be preceded by a 14-date tour of Europe in November. Beginning at 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. on December 4, MSMW will play select shows in both the Northern and Southeastern United States, highlighted by a hometown performance at Terminal 5 in NYC on December 11.

The ever-evolving, genre-defying collaboration between influential trio Medeski Martin & Wood and maverick guitarist John Scofield continues to flourish. Since first convening nearly 17 years ago, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood's kinship both onstage and off has fostered an escalating degree of musical interplay, exquisitely captured on Juice—their third studio effort and fourth album overall, available September 16, 2014, via MMW's Indirecto Records imprint.

Medeski Martin & Wood + Nels Cline have announced the release of The Woodstock Sessions (Vol. 2) on April 22. The four musicians came together to record on August 27, 2013 at Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY in front of an intimate gathering of 75 lucky ticket holders. The session was part of a newly launched series that brings established and emerging recording artists together with their fans in the recording studio. The experience is a performance/session hybrid that supports the artist to fan bond by sharing the process of record making.

Genuine charisma is what sets Chris and Oliver Wood Brothers Band apart from other contemporary rock bands. Their own brand of Americana, fused by two different musical paths bound together, has evolved from a genre-bending project into a highly popular full time band. Before the groups’ inception in 2004, many were less familiar with guitarist Oliver Wood but knew his brother Chris as the virtuoso bass ace of avant-garde jazz trio MMW.
