Last week, Phish made their long awaited return to the William Randolph Hearst Greek Theatre, better known as The Greek, and as expected, turned out three great nights of playing in one of northern California’s most reputable and intimate venues. Sitting at the crown of UC Berkeley with its iconic columns and a long history of incredible performances, the 8500 phans who got to witness magic incarnate once again danced and left floating on cloud nine, enraptured in jam and joy.

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong returned for another night of high flying funk and good times at the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY on April 14, 2023. They played a rare three night stand at the well known New York City venue. Night two was one for the ages and almost non-stop for two sets. Several members of the indie soul band Melt joined the fun at various points.

The historic Lobero Theatre continued its 150th-anniversary celebration on April 13th with an exceptional intimate performance by the masterful singer-songwriter John Oates. The evening began with an opening set by veteran sessions singer/songwriter/guitarist/composer and producer Steve Postell.

Three night stands are a luxury for jam rock fans and bands, as neither has to travel and can enjoy the surroundings for the run's duration. This was certainly the case for Pigeon's Playing Ping Pong's three night run at the famed Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY, which kicked off on April 13, 2023. The band rewarded their dedicated fans with a Thursday night inferno at the former warehouse in the popular Williamsburg neighborhood, which included two hot covers.

Demons, Dark Sides, & Downtime, the new EP from Pete Jive will be available Thursday, April 20th, 2023 for download on all platforms as well as vinyl for sale. There is something special about the unfolding.

"Cheeehuuu!" was the joyful sound as all of Kauai's grateful hippies and Salmon heads flocked with huge smile and even bigger hugs to a sold-out show of 2 nights of Bluegrass Bliss at the Porter Pavilion at Anaina Hou on Kauai's spectacular North Shore. You could feel the love and smiles of Mr. Bill Porter shining down from heaven, the visionary who built Kauai's premier music venue for our grateful community.

Dogs In A Pile hit the stage of the cozy and intimate Fox Theatre here in Boulder, Colorado on April 13th, 2023. It was a packed house as fans flooded the theater for an incredible show ahead.

Scranton-based bluegrass-jammers Cabinet made the second stop on their spring tour Saturday night when they invaded the Sherman Theater in Strousdburg, PA.  Formed in 2006, Cabinet is a seven-piece band that combines bluegrass, folk, country, and rock to create a distinctive sound that also pays tribute to traditional styles. The band is composed of J.P.

Forty-six years after he came out of Newcastle, England, with mates Andy Summers and Steward Copeland to form The Police, Sting delivered on April 12 a triumphant performance of Police songs and Sting solo material at the intimate and classy, 2,500-capacity Hard Rock Live venue, 35 miles north of Sacramento.   

When names like Baked Shrimp are mentioned, images of the delicious seafood dish often fill the mind, particularly for those who live on the coast of Long Island where shrimp are native. There is another Baked Shrimp in town, and they are the equally tasty, progressive funk trio from Long Island, NY.
