Catskill Chill Music Festival is getting the party started early with Catskill Chill Wednesday Jams, live at Sullivan Hall in New York City every Wednesday in August (there are 5!). As official house band of the celebration, FiKus will play each week and the lineups will be filled in with Chill Family artists who are slated to play this year's Catskill Chill Music Festival at Camp Minglewood in Hancock, NY.

Rubblebucket has recently signed on to the Artists Against Fracking campaign, alongside artists such as: Tune-Yards, MGMT, Patti Smith, My Morning Jacket, Yoko Ono, and many more.

On September 11th the quickly rising indie art rockers Rubblebucket will be unleashing an EP, which will be their fourth proper release to date. Recorded and produced in between festival appearances this June by Ryan Hadlock (The Gossip, Ra Ra Riot, Blonde Redhead) in Seattle's famed Bear Creek Studios  - this EP takes Brooklyn's freshest octet to a new level.

This morning I received my hot off the presses CD/DVD combo, Rubblebucket Live in Chicago.  I ripped off the plastic wrap to pop it in the player and pour over every detail of the jacket, the artwork, and the credits.  It looks like the antithesis to the no wave buzz back in the late 70’s.   The packaging is similar to a Ramones promo circa 1979.  The lettering has color but the photograph is in black and white with a nice contrast.  Photo credits go to a couple of Chicago’s finest photograp

Winter ends and the grounds warm to the seeds that bring spring time.  Sowing seeds of lyrical genius into a flower of disco colors and glowing lights is the best way I can describe the Rubblebucket Chicago show at Lincoln Hall on 3/22/2012.  Growing from the opening solo act of Kellen and Me to the coastal beach rock tunes of The Growlers into the full bloomed 8 piece

As the thermometer's mercury spends more of its time below freezing than above, I have a warm spot inside as, in my imagination, I concoct endless paths that Phish may take on their summer tour following the recently announced dates in June. Perhaps all the rumors of the phearsome phorsome headlining Bonnaroo Inc. are just meant to throw us off the scent of their real path.
