Travis Book

Travis Book, bassist and vocalist of, GRAMMY Award-winning bluegrass ensemble The Infamous Stringdusters, is stepping into uncharted musical territory with his upcoming solo album, Love and Other Strange Emotions. Set to be released via Americana Vibes on October 27, 2023, this album marks a significant departure from his acoustic and bluegrass roots with a no-holds-barred, head-first dive into Americana and Rock music; with more in common with Pink Floyd and Jason Isbell than Flatt & Scruggs and Tony Rice.

Andy Falco and Travis Book of The Infamous Stringdusters have teamed up to honor one of their biggest musical influences, Jerry Garcia, through a collaborative album Falco and Book Play Jerry Garcia available on August 4th via Americana Vibes. Today, they have released their rendition of the fan favorite “New Speedway Boogie” stripping the sound of the Grateful Dead classic down to its core using just acoustic guitar, upright bass, and vocal harmonies to lean into the nuances.

Travis Book, GRAMMY® award-winning artist and one-fifth of Americana & bluegrass quintet, the Infamous Stringdusters is very pleased to announce the release of his new live album, House Band Vol. 1, made available exclusively on Americana Vibes.

Travis Book, founding member of the GRAMMY award-winning band The Infamous Stringdusters has announced a set of final tapings for the pilot season of The Travis Book Happy Hour, a musical variety show, at The Grey Eagle in Asheville. Spanning four dates during July and August, Book’s musical contemporaries will join him for an evening of collaboration and conversation presented in front of a live studio audience and broadcast online.

Travis Book, songwriter and bass player for Grammy Award-winning bluegrass quintet the Infamous Stringdusters, is pleased to roll out the first full season of The Travis Book Happy Hour Podcast, powered by Americana Vibes. This podcast is a collection of interviews that were recorded live over the course of summer 2020 while the music industry at large came to a pause due to Covid-19.

This evening, Travis Book of the Grammy-award winning bluegrass quintet, the Infamous Stringdusters, once again takes the stage in part of his "quarantine project," The Travis Book Happy Hour. Tonight's episode, unlike those previously held, will in large part pay tribute to the late Tony Rice.
