In a rare departure from their usual sound, nine-piece funk band Turkuaz deconstructed six songs from their catalog for a live acoustic EP, recorded at Sugarshack Sessions in Miami, Florida. The EP boasts six Turkuaz tracks cast in a whole new light, including fan-favorites like "European Festivity Nightmare" and "Life In The City," plus the classic "Tiptoe Through the Crypto" and deep cut "Desert Island."

Nine-piece funk outfit Turkuaz explores the space between beauty and poison with their new single, "Ophidiophobia" (pronounced oh•fid•e•oh•fo•bia), featuring Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew of the Talking Heads.

After releasing three Beatles covers—"Rain" "Here Comes The Sun" and "You Never Give Me Your Money"—nine-piece funk band Turkuaz has treated fans to the full 12-song performance from their Live From Out There set, which spans a diverse array of the prolific English band's catalogue.

On Sunday, June 28th, Turkuaz participated in Justice Comes Alive, the day-long music marathon benefitting the PLUS1 For Black Lives Fund which raised over $55k for organizations like Equal Justice Initiative, Impact Justice, and The Bail Project, as well as Black and Indigenous-led grassroots organizations combating racism.
