With just a few weeks until the gates open at the Newport Folk Festival, I find myself thinking about little else, at least musically. I go to a number of festivals and see a lot of shows, but it’s rare that a musical event can rob my attention well before it happens. It’s difficult to describe the festival to those who haven’t been; like anything magical, you really need to experience it for yourself to fully understand why it sells out instantly, without the fanfare of announcements and advertisements. In fact, the last ticket is sold long before the first artist is announced.

Bring On The Music – Live at The Capitol Theatre is out June 28th via Provogue / Mascot Label Group. The film was captured in a 9-camera shoot during two special nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, in April 2018.  A wide-ranging song selection from Gov’t Mule’s acclaimed catalog is featured on the releases, which will come in a variety of configurations (2 CD/2 DVD deluxe package (the CD and DVD feature entirely different track lists,) two separate double-vinyl packages, digital, Blu-ray and a 2-CD package (featuring audio from the film).

Rock titans Gov't Mule will be returning to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 18th. A new-found summer tradition following last year's incredible super-sized show, the band will bring their jam-packed set to the legendary Red Rocks for another unforgettable performance. Gov't Mule has announced their Spring Tour kicking off on April 12th in Vail, CO. The upcoming run features two back-to-back nights at renowned music club Belly Up in Aspen, CO and at the iconic Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA. Pre-sale tickets will be available Wednesday February 27th and general on-sale begins Friday March 1st.

Due to popular demand, GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, producer and revered guitarist Warren Haynes has added a second Warren Haynes Presents: Dreams & Songs - A Symphonic Journey show set for March 17 at 8pm at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Haynes' hometown of Asheville, NC. The original March 16 date sold out so quickly that Haynes is turning what was going to be a one-night-only show into a special two-night event.

Gov't Mule has announced two performances on Saturday, April 27 and Saturday, May 4 at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans, LA, taking place during New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.This year, the rock torchbearers are planning not one but two shows, doubling up on this always-anticipated annual Jazz Fest tradition.
