Music has long offered a platform for revolution and on July 4th weekend 2008, ROTHBURY emerges as a new American celebration. For this next generation of the rock and roll music festival, ROTHBURY sets forth as a huge party with a purpose. The thirteenth annual music, camping and arts festival is set for July 31–Aug. 3, 2008 at Bridgeport's Seaside Park. The event has again endeavored to support a number of local and national charitable and not-for-profit organizations.

The second day of the 10,000 Lakes Festival at the Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, MN, dawned sunny and not as hot as the opener. Festivalgoers crawled out of their tents relatively early to take showers and start their day with caffeine. A coffee vender was doing a brisk business.
