Dynamic Philadelphia band The Lawsuits will release Moon Son on May 13th via Randm Records. View the album trailer HERE. The band's second full length album features 11 songs of melodic rock and groove with expressive pop vivacity through lyrics that balance darkness with light. Spiraling with guitar, keys and synth, the album is an atmospheric journey. The trade-off of charismatic and soulful vocals between dual lead singers Brian Dale Allen Strouse and Vanessa Winters ensures an experience without a dull moment. Supported by layers of lush multi-instrumention, The Lawsuits embody a uniqueness that is difficult to pin to a single characterization.

With the release of the band's first full length album Cool, Cool, Cool (produced by Bill Moritary, known for his work with Dr. Dog and Man Man), praise rolled in from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Baeble, Paste Magazine, WXPN and Daytrotter, among many others. They quickly established a reputation as a must-see live act, sharing stages with The Vaccines, Delta Spirit and Lake Street Dive while making a debut appearances at WXPN's XPoNential Music Festival and Philadelphia Folk Festival.

The Lawsuits formed after Strouse (vox, guitar, keys, synth) met Winters (vox) and Brendan Cunningham (bass, synth) while attending Temple University. Soon after, drummer Josh Friedman and guitarist Joe Bisirri completed the quintet's current lineup.

The band will be touring nonstop throughout the remainder of the year with a hometown celebration at The Foundry on April 29th. For tour dates and ticketing information, visit http://thelawsuitsband.com/tour

"Finding 'our sound' has been a daunting task. The plan was never to outright target and copy but to absorb and create. I think Moon Son takes the best elements of the band's sound and displays them in a relatively cohesive package." - Brian Dale Allen Strouse

Nashville’s DEDSA wields psych-rock like a flaming sword to illuminate sci-fi tales of love and medieval debauchery. The band’s debut full length, Salmon Velocity, melds electronic music, psychedelia, metal and shoegaze into a powerful musical elixir. DEDSA will celebrate release night with a hometown performance at Nashville's Mercy Lounge on Friday, March 3. Tickets and information available HERE.

Through 11 tracks, the quartet struts amidst a haze of swerving guitars and vintage Japanese inspired electronics.“Nothing is off limits if it sounds like fun,” says the band, “we’ll try anything once in a song.”

Salmon Velocity is a tome of dichotomy. The listener is taken on an odyssey through moments that whip from cinematic grandeur to pure rock 'n' roll nonsense. Lyrics contrast utter hopelessness with complete elation. This album isn’t for the weary.

Salmon Velocity’s accompanying audio visual illustrations are a realm that strike between beauty and grotesque imagery, made by founding member Robbie Ward. In the upcoming “Annihilation” video, sorcerer-magicians find themselves in grim city where they perform a dark rite to spread a curse throughout the town. After being punished and condemned to death, the group is ferried through levels of Hell, battling a horde of demons before meeting Satan where they evolve through transfigurations until they finally meet their disturbing, peaceful fate.

Ward’s animation in film has gained DEDSA’s music notoriety for their video “Lighter Click” that was recently selected in the top 10 videos of 700,000 submissions in the Slamdance Film Festival in the Anarchy Shorts category. The Nashville Scene proclaimed the video to be “on another level.” View HERE. “Lighter Click” will be featured in the 2017 Ann Arbor Film Festival.

Though “Lighter Click” has garnered attention, it’s DEDSA’s live performances that keep people delving in mystified.

DEDSA is an unholy pact between drummer Grant Bramlett, bassist/keyboardist Ben Carreon, guitarist/vocalist Stephen DeWitt and keyboardist Robbie Ward.

New York soul singer-songwriter Morgan James has released her sophomore album, Reckless Abandon (via her own Hedonist Records on April 7th) and is on an extensive tour, featuring upcoming appearances in Hollywood, Washington, D.C., Chicago and more (see tour dates and album track listing below). Check out Pollstar’s tour feature here: http://bit.ly/2nKBfZv and James’ story behind the album in an interview with The Huffington Post here: http://huff.to/2nbx6S2

Known for phenomenal, noteworthy live performances, James is a talent born to capture an audience. No matter what stage she's taking, she casts a captivating and sultry fusion of pop, funk and R&B that impassions audiences.

James transitioned from The Juilliard School to Broadway through a journey of upside down turns that created the mosaic that is now Morgan James. With a voice beyond her own body, she searched the streets of Manhattan to find the perfect home for her vocal instrument. It was when she decided to strip away her operatic training, dared to test her technique and live on the edge of a cliff during performances that she found her strength and individuality. Her blossoming led to leading roles in Motown: The Musical, Godspell and more while establishing herself as an artist in her own right.

James’ prior music has garnered critical acclaim while reaching a wide range of listeners through her organically formed fanbase. It was not long ago Prince gave the singer his final blessing to cover his song “Call My Name” and mentor Berry Gordy Jr. was noting, “Sexy and charming, Morgan James is a multi-talented performer...she can do it all.” With two Epic Records releases under her belt (Hunter and Morgan James Live), the eyes of over 125 million views collectively on her social channels, a Top 15 hit on Billboard’s Urban AC chart and nods from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, she is proving herself to be a force to be reckoned with.

A Morgan James live performance is lightning in a bottle. Having made appearances from Carnegie Hall to The Kennedy Center and Montreal Jazz Festival, she has enchanted audiences worldwide with commanding performances.

Reckless Abandon spotlights Morgan James’ wondrous talent, transparent songwriting and ability to create a must-see live experience.

East Nashville’s four-piece indie space rock band Creature Comfort will celebrate the June 9th release of "Common John (Southern Shame)" as the band debuts at Bonnaroo on June 10th following their Road To Roo championship. View Bonnaroo details HERE

Known for creating thought provoking art, "Common John (Southern Shame)" delivers an outcry for southerners fighting for resistance in our current political moment. The Tullahoma, TN native breatheran penned the track as a cultural observation of Donald Trump support in the South. They recorded it immediately following the funeral of guitarist Nick Rose's mother who fought cancer to the very end.

To call "Common John (Southern Shame)" emotive is an understatement.

Lead singer / songwriter / rhythm guitarist Jessey Clark describes it as "...a culmination of emotions that I’ve had in my adult life regarding my southern heritage and its clash with my liberal social/political views." Trump’s values seemed to be the polar opposite of his surrounding family’s views, yet they voted for the controversial candidate. The song was written as a coping mechanism to Clark’s internal struggle.

He asks, “How can it be that someone I love so much can support someone who has so much hate in their heart?” Clark's perspective is not only as a southern artist but as an educated pharmacist with a Belmont Doctorate of Pharmacy, an intriguing and rare combination to write from.

In June, Creature Comfort will be featured in Nashville's NATIVE magazine as they prepare to celebrate how their blood, sweat, tears, talent and statewide Road To Roo championship has earned them their Bonnaroo debut, a lifetime dream growing up on the outskirts of the festival.

The new track is a taste of what is to come and the band's best song to date as they prepare writing for a full album premiere.

In the meantime, check out the band's acclaimed EP Echoes & Relics and stay tuned for more announcements!
