After three well-received singles drawn from the bluegrass-adjacent country music catalog, acclaimed bluegrass quintet, Lonesome River Band, returns with a new Mountain Home Music Company single that, even as it throws a couple of gentle curveballs, stands squarely on pure bluegrass turf.

Today, Sarah Shook & the Disarmers release Revelations, an album that The New York Times says is "the work of a songwriter relishing newfound clarity and confidence." Self-produced for the first time by bandleader River Shook (they/them), and recorded in two breakneck but clear-eyed days, these 10 songs are their most righteous, rousing and resilient to date.

Guitarist-vocalist Dan Rubinoff likes to joke that it only took him 50 years to write a good song. But once he did, he knocked out a bunch — 12 of which have landed on Pie Chart of Love, the stellar debut album Rubinoff and his partner, bassist-vocalist Joice Moore, will release on May 10 as the duo RubyJoyful. The Colorado-based outfit will begin a spring tour that night with a performance at Steve’s Guitars in Carbondale, Colo.
