Nashville based Americana artist Szlachetka's new single "Cutting The Firelines" is being released on Friday November 20.  It was produced by Grammy winning producer Scott Underwood (Drummer/ founding member of TRAIN). They recorded it live at Blackbird Studio A and Thunderwood Sound in Nashville between June 30- July 12 of 2019.

Szlachetka co-wrote the song with his good friend and collaborator Mando Saenz (Miranda Lambert, Midland, Lee Ann Womack, Oak Ridge Boys, Jack Ingram, Frankie Ballard).  The song was conceived the first time that Szlachetka was back in Redding, CA on tour after the terrible Carr fire devastated the area.

Szlachetka says "It was Oct of 2018 and I was on a walk with a good friend along the Sacramento River and he was pointing out the path of the fire and all of the "firelines" that were cut by firefighters to try and stop burning. The phrase "cutting the firelines" came to me and I wrote everything down and took the idea to my good friend and collaborator Mando Saenz. I wanted to touch on the aspect that we as a society have to start "cutting the firelines" in order to come back together and mend the division that has been tearing us apart.  The feeling of unity and community is something that I really want to put out into the world right now because I think we need as much positive energy and messaging as possible."

"Cutting The Firelines" marks the fifth single being released this year from his upcoming 11 song album Young Heart, Old Soul.  The first four singles "Bullet Through The Wind," "Lifeboat," "Earthquake" and "Old Soul" have generated airplay and buzz from Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, CMT, Ditty TV, Guitar World, The Alternate Root, Wide Open Country, Americana Highways, Lightning 100 (Nashville), WMOT FM (Nashville), WFMU FM (New Jersey), KPUR 95.7The Armadillo (Texas), WRSI 93.9 The River (Massachusetts), WLFM 91.1 The Avenue (Wisconsin), 105.7 FM Red Dirt Rebel (Texas),  102.3 WHIV FM NOLA County (Louisiana), 99.3 FM The Peach (Louisiana), WVTF FM Roots Down Radio (Virginia).
