“This is the first time that Infected Mushroom and Bliss managed to sit in the same studio together to collaborate on a track, since all our previous collaborations have been done online,” shares Infected Mushroom (Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani and Erez Eisen) on the single. “That’s why the first original name for this track was ‘LA Bliss’, due to his visit to our studio.”
“I had a gig in LA [at] Dreamstate, and took the opportunity to stay a few days and make some music with Erez and Duvdev. We had a good session for a few days,” explains Bliss. “[I’m] not sure how we came about the lyric “LA Beast”… if I remember correctly Duvdev grabbed the mic and that was the first thing he sang besides the ad libs. This time, we tried to make a clean track with some 80s spice and an emotional anti climax ending.”
“LA Beast” follows “What You Know You Know You Know” and “Lightweight” in Infected Mushroom’s latest chronology of singles. These three tracks will feature on IM30, a landmark project that serves to celebrate three decades of Infected Mushroom, set for release January 30, 2026.
