Dynamic blues auteur Samantha Fish and guitarist extraordinaire Jesse Dayton release their anticipated collaboration, Death Wish Blues, on Rounder Records. The latest track is the gritty “Rippin’ and Runnin,’” a bold number full of swagger and bravado, featuring a twangy intro that quickly evolves into thumping riffs alongside gut-punching vocals.  Listen to the hard-hitting “Rippin’ and Runnin’” and to Death Wish Blues HERE.

“Rippin’ and Runnin’" follows the release of earlier tracks “Deathwish,” “Riders,” and “Settle for Less.” The songs highlight the synergy and free-flowing nature of Fish and Dayton’s musical partnership as they expand the limits of the blues and rock genres. Jon Spencer’s production magnifies the sonic power of each track, resulting in an exhilarating collection of blues, soul, punk, funk, and exceptionally bold rock-and-roll.

Press has raved about Death Wish Blues as well. Accolades include:

“… a powerful, spirited, and at times exuberant collaborative effort…" – American Songwriter

“...some of the rawest and most hard-hitting music of their careers.”– No Depression

“…nearly touches the charm of duets like Johnny & June Cash as well as Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazelwood. Excellent." – Americana Highways

“…the dynamic guitar duo entrusted their artistry to producer Jon Spencer, and the result is full of wicked stories, tongue-in-cheek escapades, greasy grooves and helllacious guitar.”– Vintage Guitar

After their electrifying set at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in April, Fish and Dayton are gearing up for a round of tour dates to support Death Wish Blues, including a run with the legendary Buddy Guy. A full list of tour dates is below.
