Bursting with hope, inspiration, and gratitude, WinterWonderGrass Festival announces its 2023 lineup, and will celebrate its 10 year Colorado anniversary on March 3-5, 2023 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Shaped over the last decade this critically acclaimed, boutique music festival brings together some of the best in bluegrass and Americana, a spectacular mountain backdrop, inspired community, sustainable awareness, and world class craft beer.

The WinterWonderGrass, Colorado, 10 year anniversary lineup is stacked with Colorado legends and rising acts. Original 2013 headliners Greensky Bluegrass, and The Infamous Stringdusters, are joined by Steamboat favorites Leftover Salmon, and newcomer Paul Cauthen. Joining the top line are favorites Kitchen Dwellers, The Lil Smokies, The Lone Bellow, Neal Francis and plenty more.

Kicking off the celebration is a special free show at the base of Steamboat Resort on Thursday, March 2nd featuring Trout Steak Revival. At this 3-day music & brew festival, you will experience the best in bluegrass, Americana, and roots music, find carefully curated local food vendors, spirits, and craft beer & seltzer (with complimentary tastings). The outdoor event takes place at the base of the Steamboat Ski resort in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with an open-air outdoor main stage and three side stages, which are heated and covered. Daily beer, whiskey and spiked seltzer tastings are complimentary with your tickets for those 21 and over, from 3-5 pm in the heated side stage tents.

WinterWonderGrass is a family friendly event and children 12 and under are free.

The seeds of WinterWonderGrass were planted back in 1993, as founder Scotty Stoughton followed the band, The Grateful Dead on the West and East Coasts. His “Dead-Head” experience as a fan, hand drummer and grilled cheese salesmen combined with years in Colorado as an event producer and performer gave him the inspiration and vision to launch an event focused on community.

Stoughton notes: “The intention behind WinterWonderGrass and all our Bonfire Entertainment events is to deliver a mindful, clean and comforting fan experience. First and foremost, we create this for the people, the communities, and our artists. We offer to host bands in town for multiple days in order to allow them to soak up the magic of Steamboat and give a little reprieve from road life. WWG is itself a community; our attendees share our passion for protecting the environment, tasty craft brew, authentic music, and collective kindness. We cannot wait to get back for the 10 year anniversary!”

The first annual WinterWonderGrass kicked off at The Crazy Mountain Brewery, Edwards Colorado in 2013. As the festival grew, it moved on to Avon and eventually found its perfect fit and permanent home in Steamboat Springs.

In 2015, the popularity of the festival allowed it to grow beyond the borders of Colorado, and a second event was born. Many fans now take part in both WinterWonderGrass events, first Steamboat, Colorado and then to the majesty of Lake Tahoe, California just one month later.
