For decades the onset of Spring meant gathering at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida for a weekend of fun, family, Bluegrass and string music. A beloved tradition continues as the picturesque grounds play host to a new take on a classic family-friendly gathering with the 3rd Annual Suwannee Spring Reunion taking place Thursday through Sunday, March 21-24, 2019.

Instrumental jamband Lotus surprised fans today with the release of their new album, Frames Per Second. Tracked live at Rittenhouse Soundworks in Philadelphia with cameras rolling, the all-instrumental 19-song studio album and accompanying documentary aims to showcase Lotus in a pure, raw form performing live in the studio. Instrumental jazz-funk, Norwegian space-disco and psychedelic rock are just some of the sounds that influenced the expansive audio and video project.

Tuomo & Markus is a new musical project from acclaimed Finnish soul/jazz artist Tuomo Prättälä and singer/songwriter Markus Nordenstreng of The Latebirds. The duo’s music has been described as Nordic Americana and neo folk with distinct jazz, soul and prog-rock influences. Their haunting harmonies complement each other much like in the cases of Simon & Garfunkel or Crosby Stills Nash.

The String Cheese Incident (SCI) returns to Colorado for their annual New Year’s Eve run of shows, this year kicking off a yearlong celebration of the band’s prolific 25-year career. The always highly anticipated event, which takes place at the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, CO on December 28th, 29th and 31st, will feature a stacked list of special guest musicians, the first ever “Land’s End Museum” displaying a historical capsule of 25 years of SCI, and of course, the band’s signature New Year’s Eve production spectacle.
