Multifarious guitar player Stephen Inglis is no stranger to the music of the Grateful Dead. A life-long Deadhead through and through, Stephen took his native Hawaiian guitar playing roots and mingled it with the band that changed his life. In conversation with Grateful Web, Stephen opened up about his ambitious solo Slack Key Guitar-centered album Cut The Dead Some Slack.

As you entered the theater, you were given a postcard which had instructions for the “cue” for when to sing happy birthday to the birthday boy. Some of my fellow attendees were already wearing birthday hats and even giving them out to their friends. The theater was hoppin’, and the vibe was that of a celebration. It was a sold-out crowd (GA/LOGE/BALCONY). Of course, it really didn’t matter if you had a seat anyway when I looked around, people were standing and dancing everywhere.

April 19, 2018 will be the 75th Anniversary of Bicycle Day, the fated day in 1943 when the Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann took the world's first intentional acid trip. The date is called Bicycle Day because Hofmann rode home from his lab on his bike as the psychedelic effects of the substance began to take hold. 

Singer/Songwriter Christina Holmes has announced her first headline tour in support of her second studio album, Stand Up.  The tour, dubbed the “Bring The People Together Tour,” will begin with a performance on the main stage of the Project Earth festival on June 16th and will make stops in Chicago, Cleveland, Boston, and Burlington.

The Crescent City's explosive ensemble Cha Wa will release its sophomore studio album Spyboy, featuring its 21-year old lead singer Spyboy J'Wan Boudreaux, on Friday, April 27, 2018. Spyboy is an impeccable blend of traditional New Orleans street music styles transformed into a modern mix of fiery, toe-tapping sounds. The album drops in advance of the band's headlining performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on the Jazz & Heritage Stage (April 28).
