Hot off the heels of Fall Tour, Formula 5 has announced Winter Tour 2018. The tour kicks off at Nietzsche’s in Buffalo, NY on December 1 followed by the band’s debut at the new FLX Live in Geneva, NY. Their final 2017 show will take place on December 30th for a Phish after party at DROM with Fondude. A limited number of VIP packages are available for this special end of year show.

Fans anxiously awaited Alison Moyet’s appearance as soon as the house lights dimmed and the stage lights formed iridescent shadows across the spacious Palladium, while the spoken word, ‘April 4th from the recently released ‘Other’ echoed. Acclaimed Americana/folk duo Mare Wakefield & Nomad announce a January 26, 2018, release date for their new CD, Time to Fly, on the Maresie Music imprint. The two will celebrate the new CD with a special show at The Country in Nashville on Wednesday, January 17 at 9 pm (www.thecountrynashville.com). They’ll also be performing songs from the new disc at several private showcases during the upcoming Folk Alliance Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, in February.

Motorcycle and music fans will have the chance to see true living legends at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip this August when John Kay and Steppenwolf bring their heavy metal thunder to the Wolfman Jack Stage on Friday, Aug. 10. Steppenwolf changed the rock ‘n’ roll landscape and the world of motorcycling forever. Their songs featured in the biker culture classic “Easy Rider” became synonymous with riding and rebellion.

The 9th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival has announced their second round of artists. Joining an already impressive lineup is the Grammy nominees Rebelution, Hawaiian reggae ambassadors The Green, singer/songwriter Trevor Hall, Cali Roots favorite Fortunate Youth, island soulstress Anuhea, and alternative reggae band The Movement. Making his Cali Roots debut performance is underground hip hop hero Brother Ali, fresh from his critically-acclaimed album All The Beauty In This Whole Life.

It was a different Lone Bellow that pulled into Boston on Wednesday night, for their first show in the city in two years. When they first broke on the scene some five years ago, The Lone Bellow’s live shows were marked by an irrepressible energy, as if they couldn’t believe they’d hit the big time and were determined to rock the rafters at every gig.
