The FreshGrass Music Festival is a festival like no other. Set in Western Massachusetts's picturesque Berkshire Mountains, along the historic Mohawk Trail (now MA Route 2), in the industrial river valley town of North Adams, Fresh Grass takes place on the vast property of The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
The final day of the 2019 Ohana Music Festival greeted a large sold-out crowd with hot sunny beach weather and a stunningly diverse musical line up. The music began early on day three, just afternoon with a short set by Gretta Ray. The young Australian singer-songwriter came from her hometown, Melbourne, Australia.
October came quickly this year, and with it so did ACL Music Festival. There’s something special about the first of the two-weekend music festival. It was hot. It was sweaty. It was exhausting. Large crowds gathered early on Friday, September, 27th for the opening day of the fourth annual Ohana Music Festival. The brainchild of Eddie Vedder, the event is a carefully choreographed music and arts festival with a strong environmental message. The venue is located literally on the beach and adjacent park at Doheny Star Beach. The concert grounds and bleachers overlook the historic Doheny surfing break, which may be one of the most tranquil surfing breaks in the world.
Sunday, Day 2 of the Kaua’i Folk Fest was as magical as the day before. Trying to pace ourselves for another 12 solid hours of amazing music, festival creator asked the crowd: “when someone asks you what was your favorite band... you say the Old-Time Hillbilly String Band from Tennessee!”
They delighted the crowd with old-timey songs like “Shortening Bread” And once again, all the audience was dancing and swirling in the morning sunshine.
These guys & gals were the real deal, and looked straight out of the movie: “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?”
Last weekend, on the mystical Garden Island of Kaua’i, something very special happened: the community was brought together through the power of Folk Music.

Today, the WinterWonderGrass Music & Brew Festival shares the 2020 lineup across all three of their flagship events. Taking place in Colorado from February 21st - 23rd, California from March 27th - 29th and Vermont from April 10th - 11th, the traveling music festival will welcome performances from some of the hottest names currently thriving in today’s Bluegrass and Americana music scenes.
A hot sunny afternoon in Del Mar California greeted a sold-out crowd for the final day of KAABOO 2019. Concert goers took advantage of the copious beverages available and lounged in the air-conditioned art and comedy buildings before braving the searing early afternoon sun. Music fans swarmed the Trestles stage early on despite the hot temperatures to hear the legendary Toots and The Maytals play their traditional Reggae sound.
The second day of KAABOO Del Mar Festival 2019 began bright and early and quickly heated up in more ways than one. An unusually humid San Diego day enveloped the Del Mar fairgrounds as thousands of music fan beat to stream into the venue. A rock-laden line up greeted them with blazing guitars and thumping rhythms. Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes played a searing early afternoon set in much the same vein as Little Steven did the day before.
