When I was going through a period in my life where I thought there was a real chance I would become a percussionist in a reggae band or a ska legend, my dad would casually say things like “When I saw the Wailers here…” or “The first time I saw Bob Marley…” and I would endure the crushing realization that I was simply born at the wrong time. Well, thankfully, I’ve restored balance to the universe.

This summer React Presents is ecstatic to announce Mamby on the Beach, Chicago’s newest two-day festival, taking place at a new and untouched lakefront venue on Oakwood Beach. This beautiful beachside festival offers a pristine view of Chicago's gorgeous skyline, boasting two stages featuring live performances by established and legendary artists in the indie-dance world, plus a selection of the world’s most innovative house and techno producers.

Today, the inaugural Contour Music Festival released the names of 18 artists that are new to the lineup, along with the schedule for the festival’s late night shows. This new music and arts event, hosted June 11-14, 2015 in the vibrant town of Jackson, Wyoming promises an intimate, innovative, and elevated experience set to the picturesque backdrop of the Teton Mountain Range.

Lockn' Festival is excited to announce Phil Lesh & Friends featuring Carlos Santana.  Lockn' is also announcing the full 2015 line-up and daily schedule.  The four-day festival takes place September 10-13 on the beautiful Oak Ridge and Lockn' Farms in Arrington, Virginia.

Phase One of tickets to Phases of the Moon Music and Arts Festival will go on sale Friday, May 1 at 11:00 AM CDT. Phases 2015 will take place October 16-18th at Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, AR.
 

Campout For The Cause has released the music, yoga, workshop and SUP clinic schedules for the 2015 festival.

Catskill Chill Music Festival has announced the line-up for “A Farewell to Minglewood” which will take place September 18-20, 2015, in Hancock, New York. The Chillfam will come together for one last celebration at the much-loved Camp Minglewood before the event moves to a new home in 2016.

North Coast Music Festival (NCMF) is thrilled to announce the lineup for this year’s festival, which takes place during Labor Day Weekend from Friday, September 4th through Sunday, September 6th.

The count down for Dark Star Jubilee has begun. In less than one month, deadheads of all ages will gather at Legend Valley, Ohio for a celebration of the Grateful Dead. This festival is over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24th in Thornville, Ohio, it will be my fourth year covering this festival, and I cannot wait!

1.      Parking – Free (and plentiful) parking and shuttle services are available from the Blue Lot, located off Highway 268 West. The shuttle services runs non-stop during festival hours and until everyone is off campus at the end of the evening. Follow the “Blue Lot” parking signs. Also, the Blue Lot is an easy half-mile walk to the festival grounds.
