The count down for Dark Star Jubilee has begun. In less than one month, deadheads of all ages will gather at Legend Valley, Ohio for a celebration of the Grateful Dead. This festival is over Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24th in Thornville, Ohio, it will be my fourth year covering this festival, and I cannot wait!

1.      Parking – Free (and plentiful) parking and shuttle services are available from the Blue Lot, located off Highway 268 West. The shuttle services runs non-stop during festival hours and until everyone is off campus at the end of the evening. Follow the “Blue Lot” parking signs. Also, the Blue Lot is an easy half-mile walk to the festival grounds.

Düsseldorf’s annual Jazz Rally is by far the largest jazz festival in Germany, and the city of Düsseldorf is known not only for hosting huge events, but also for transforming itself into one giant party. Preparations are well underway for MerleFest 2015, presented by Window World, which officially begins next Thursday, April 23, at 2:30 p.m., and runs through Sunday, April 26, on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. 

With over 80 acts performing on 13 stages during the four-day festival, attendees should expect the unexpected with special surprises, spontaneous jam sessions and one-of-a-kind musical collaborations.

The fourth annual Summer Set Music and Camping Festival (SSMF) returns to the beautiful Somerset Amphitheater in Northern Wisconsin with the festival’s most impressive lineup yet. Known for showcasing an eclectic mix of hip-hop, indie, and jam-style artists alongside some of electronic dance music’s most sought after producers and DJs, SSMF is set to deliver a diverse lineup featuring over 70 artists, performing across five stages.

Today, Electric Forest (EF) released the names of over 25 artists that are new additions to the lineup, including details on The Curated Event Series, for the festival’s eagerly awaited return to the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan on June 25-28, 2015.
