JamCam Chronicles www.jamcamdvd.com DVD Magazine, the first-of-its-kind "music magazine come-to-life," is proud to announce Wakarusa 2005, featuring The String Cheese Incident, as the first festival to sign-on for its sophomore season of ongoing festival focused DVDs.

The 2005 Jammy-Award-nominated DVD subscription series has had its sights set on shooting Wakarusa '05 (June 16-18, Lawrence, KS) since the event's debut in 2004.  It was then that Wakarusa splashed upon the summer festival scene with an amazingly strong lineup for a first-time effort, and garnered equally enthusiastic reviews upon its conclusion.   This year promises more of the same, with a roster of acts ranging in diversity from Umphrey's McGeee to STS9 to Split Lip Rayfield.  Pipeline Productions Representative, and Festival Director, Brett Mosiman is eager for the opportunity to have JamCam "chronicle" Wakarusa 2, and exclaims, "We are very excited to partner with JamCam Chronicles to provide documentation of what should be an epic event."

Representatives from The String Cheese Incident's record label, SCI Fidelity Records, are also looking forward to participating.  "We at SCI Fidelity Records recognize JamCam Chronicles as an innovative and positive contributor to today's music scene, and are happy to support its efforts with a String Cheese appearance" says band Publicist, Carrie Lombardi.  She adds, "The guys will be premiering several songs from the brand new album (scheduled for release just days after the festival) and to have JamCam capture them on film, being played for the first time in front of a live audience, is a very exciting prospect."

JamCam Executive Producer/Director, Tom Ledermann, views SCI Fidelity's and Pipeline's choice to participate, an indication of the growth JamCam Chronicles has been hoping for.  "Major labels, artists and festival promoters are beginning to see JamCam as an increasingly vital player in the improvisational music community, and we couldn't be more proud to have two of the biggest and best to be the first on board for our second season!"

JamCam Chronicles DVDs can be ordered individually, or at a heavily discounted subscription rate.  To learn more about how to order or how you, your band, festival or organization can get involved, go to www.jamcamdvd.com or email the JamCam staff at [email protected].
