Volume Five made its debut this week at #5 on Billboard’s Top 10 Bluegrass Album Chart with their impressive new project Drifter.  The album is receiving rave reviews including Parcbench Magazine saying it “raises the bar on their already impressive reputation.

The first single release, “I Am A Drifter” written by Donna Ulisse and Marc Ross, continues to garner radio chart success.  It is the current #1 song on the Bluegrass Today Top 20, #7 on the Sirius XM Bluegrass Junction’s Most Played Tracks for June, and debuted this month on Power Source Magazine’s Top 35 Songs Chart.  Drifter is also crossing over to other radio formats; the track, “When I Go Away,” is today’s POWERPLAY song on Eagle Country Radio. Drifter is available to radio stations worldwide at AirPlayDirect.com.

“Volume Five can please a fan who just wants to hear a bluegrass beat with a pleasant melody, but the rhythmic interplay between the instruments can enthrall a more sophisticated listener after multiple hearings. It’s a special skill, and may ultimately be the one thing that eventually allows this talented quintet to rise to the top, a la Blue Highway,”said Bluegrass Today in a recent album review.

This impressive group is led by Glen Harrell (fiddle & vocals) who is joined by Harry Clark (mandolin & vocals), Chris Williamson (bass & vocals), Patton Wages (banjo & vocals), and Colby Laney (guitar & vocals).

Drifter is available at numerous digital outlets, VolumeFiveBG.com, mountainfever.com and more fine retail outlets.
