Hot Soup

This show was the icing on the cake of a super busy music weekend in the Mile High City. The Bluebird Theater played host to an ultra-talented bill. It was a cold and snowy night in Denver, but people still came out on a Sunday night to see one of the most talented bands in Colorado cover Ween’s famous Chocolate and Cheese album.

This Thursday, February 28, Lazy Dog will host a multiple-band benefit in honor of those affected by the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. Matt Flaherty, a founding member of Boulder’s own Hot Soup, initiated and organized the proceedings. The following is an interview with Matt all about this benefit. Suggested donation is between $10 and $20.

DeadPhish Orchestra, yea, it’s exactly what it sounds like. If you’ve never heard of them and aren’t attracted by the name immediately don’t dismiss them quite so soon, because they probably have something your craving.
