DelFest, the festival brainchild of Del McCoury and his extended McCoury family, is celebrating its 15th year in 2023, and for those who’ve been all 14 years or those looking to make their first Memorial Day memories with Del and the gang, today is the day everyone’s been waiting for: The initial DelFest 2023 lineup is here!
Collaborative musical encounters between distinct artists have been woven into the fabric of bluegrass at least as far back as the in-studio meeting of Flatt & Scruggs with Doc Watson. So it was almost inevitable that, at some point, the idea would surface of bringing together musicians from the groups that make up the rosters of sister labels Mountain Home Music Company and Organic Records.

The stardust has settled down so let’s recap the first-ever Sacred Rose Festival. Opening up a new bracket for Chicago by seasoned festival producers, Sacred Rose certainly had some highs and some lows but one thing is for sure Sacred Rose was one for the ages and one we hope will return.
On October 8th and 9th, incredible music and breathtaking caves come together to create the first-ever CaveFest. Featuring headlining acts Sam Bush, Leftover Salmon, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Yonder Mountain String Band the inaugural festival will take full advantage of what The Caverns has to offer above and below ground.

The inaugural Sacred Rose Fest is less than 2 weeks away. For the first time ever there will be a weekend full of music as diverse as the Grateful Dead in its current form. Phil Lesh playing with Nels Cline and Jeff Tweedy as well as Karl Denson, Stu Allen, Grahame Lesh, Jeff Chimenti, and Elliott Peck all in one headlining slot!?! Khruangbin, JRAD, Umphrey’s McGee, Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Elliott Peck’s Midnight North, Holly Bowling, and the Gone Gone Beyond are kicking it all off?!? The list is exciting and inviting.
Earlier this year, Jeremy Garrett (from the GRAMMY-winning Infamous Stringdusters) returned to the bluegrass roots that first brought him accolades and critical attention when he released his third album for Organic Records, River Wild.
The Infamous Stringdusters are Andy Hall (dobro), Andy Falco (guitar), Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle) and Travis Book (bass). This extremely talented group of players and singers have been very busy touring major festivals releasing new music and making lots of people very happy in the process.
The full lineup for the 2nd annual Kaw River Roots Festival has been released to the public. Legendary artists Leftover Salmon and Grammy award winners, The Infamous Stringdusters will be headlining. Additional performers include Fireside Collective, Kyle Tuttle's All Stars, The Jon Stickley Trio, Daniel Donato, Opal Agafia, Chain Station, Pretend Friend, Sky Smeed, Lily B Moonflower, The Matchsellers, Jake Keegan Band, Tyler Gregory, Jenna & Martin, and Megan Luttrell.
Jeremy Garrett (a bluegrass fiddler at heart) visits the musical ground on which his career was born with River Wild, his new album out now from Organic Records. Jeremy will be bringing his fiddle science to Denver's Ophelia's this Sunday, June 26 in celebration of his new album. His ever-evolving band will feature Cody Kilby (the Travelin McCourys), Ryan Cavanaugh and local pickers Sam Parks and Denton Turner (Buffalo Commons).
