They say time heals all wounds.  I believe that music also plays an important role in the process.

Umphrey’s McGee is simply on fire right now. This is a band that is on point every single show and will always bring the best rock show in town. I was able to catch the first show of their tour leading up to the 2,000 show, at the Canopy Club in Urbana, Illinios  November 5th.

Before even getting into the music, a big shout-out needs to go The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park. It is such a beautiful and well run festival venue. Upon entering the park, you a see dense forest of large trees dripping with moss and many nooks to set up camp. Then when going into the festival grounds you are greeted by some of the kindest staff I have ever encountered at the music festival. Very rarely did you find yourself waiting for the lines for security or bathrooms. The park has lots of experience with festivals and it clearly shows.

On a cold fall evening, November 11, 1997, the founding lineup for the Dark Star Orchestra began its first of four weekly performances run at Chicago’s Martyrs’. Fast forward to 2014 where today the band has performed 2379 shows in that time, eclipsing the number of shows the Grateful Dead performed over its 30 year arc.

The String Cheese Incident announced their Winter Carnival headline tour today.  They will play several Incidents in 2015 including Seattle, Eugene, Boise, Reno and Chicago as well as Sin City Incidents in Las Vegas.   Fan Club members can buy tickets on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00am

AURA Music & Arts Festival has added several new artists to the 2015 lineup including the debut of Break Science Live Band where the synergy and flow of electronic duo Borahm Lee and Adam Deitch will be joined by Lettuce’s Jesus Coomes on bass, Adam Smirnoff on guitar, Ryan Zoidis on sax and Eric Bloom on trumpet.

On August 19, 2013, Jason Isbell and his band The 400 Unit, stepped out onto the stage in front of a live audience in Austin, TX to film his first appearance on the longest running original music series in the U.S., Austin City Limits. This special night for Isbell, his bandmates and all in attendance, will be released on DVD as Jason Isbell: Live at Austin City Limits on November 24 via Southeastern Records.

HUKA Entertainment is proud to welcome The Meter Men featuring Page McConnell of Phish to The Joy Theater on April 24th and 25th, 2015.
