"Kenny Rogers was one of the greatest, I've been thinking about him all day since I heard the sad news. When we went into Hall of Fame together, truth is, I thought he was already in! To be inducted alongside him made it that much more of an honor. 'The Gamber' is a great story song, so well written, and Kenny had an ear for really great songs. He had a magic voice, instantly recognizable. I will miss my friend." - Bobby Bare, Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member

"Kenny Rogers was a dear friend of mine. I worked with him back in 1959 in a recording studio in Houston, Texas. He was working with a jazz group known as the Bobby Doyle Trio at the time. A lot of folks didn't know this, but Kenny played the upright bass on my first song that charted in Houston. I have lost a great friend and the music world has lost what I refer to as a superstar. He became a legend in country music, pop music and movies, as well. Truly a great talent overall. He will definitely be missed by me and all of his fans." - Mickey Gilley

"'I love you. Stay in touch. Take care of yourself. And, if you ever start recording again, I want to be there'—kind words from my longtime friend, Kenny Rogers. He was always near when you needed him, with that infectious smile that lit a room. I had the honor of working with Kenny, numerous times, over the last 35 years—each time I was left a better person. The songs he gave us and the friendships he collected, will keep his all in touch with our brother, our hero, our friend. Rest easy, Kenny…we will record again, and you will be there. I love you, too!" - Randy Travis, Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member*Check out Kenny Rogers performance at Randy's tribute concert in Nashville in 2017, "Love Lifted Me" was recorded by both Kenny and Randy: Click Here

"I am heartsick over the loss of my friend. We had many fun times-on and off stage! He took me around the world with him. Kenny was such a giving person. He taught me more than I could ever express. He invited me into the KR Family for which I am so thankful. Kenny shared everything... his talents, his stage... his family, friends and fans but most of all he shared his heart with me!! RIP Sweet Music Man." - Linda Davis

"I am filled with profound sadness with the loss of my friend and fellow artist, Kenny Rogers. God Bless him and his family. He will be greatly missed by all, but his outstanding legacy will live on. Love you, my friend." - Jerry Lee Lewis, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member

"I went to see Kenny with my dad right out of high school in Fort Worth. I had no idea that years later I would be touring, singing on his record and having a song recorded by him. Kenny was kind and wanted to meet me before my first show opening for him. We were Texans, bass players and he loved the fact that we had both played with the late, great Bobby Doyle. He was a gentleman and an Icon and I am proud to have known him." - Terry McBride

Lilly Winwood released her new single “Few More Records” today from her forthcoming album Time Well Spent, exclusively premiered by Medium. A bluesy, moody track, Winwood’s wise-beyond-her-years tone fills the wistful, but resilient lyrics. Staying true to her Americana roots, the song is framed with a subtle steel guitar, southern rock guitars and classic rock piano riffs. An underdog anthem, “Few More Records” firmly solidifies Winwood as an up-and-coming Americana artist to watch. Listen to the single here.

“I’m excited to release the first single off the new record and to hopefully get your toes tapping with this number or to get you dancing around in that 6 feet you have to keep from others,” says Winwood.

“Now set to release a new single “Few More Records," a song with straight forward lyrics, that paired with her resonating vocals, make it an anthem for anyone whose career path is more like a maze than a straight arrow.” - Donna Block, Medium

Daughter of classic rock legend Steve Winwood, Lilly grew up playing and writing. By growing up in both the States and England, Winwood’s international music influences help inspire her unique sound that’s intertwined with her strong Nashville base. Coming into her own, Winwood’s making a name for herself as an Americana artist with a Brandi Carlile-esque sound. Winwood has set her debut album release Time Well Spent for early 2021. East Nashville-based Americana artist, Lilly Winwood, is gearing up to release her debut album Time Well Spent on January 29. Her rootsy voice perfectly compliments her soulful songwriting, which allows listeners a glimpse into her personal experiences. Although Winwood’s writing is wise beyond her years, it is clear that throughout the album, she is coming of age as she goes through finding love, making mistakes, waiting for karma to catch up and discovering her true self. There’s a lot to relate to on Time Well Spent which can be pre-saved here.

“I’m excited to share with you what I’ve been working on for nearly a decade. These songs are very dear to my heart and hopefully I’ve created something that listeners can relate to and get their toes tapping along the way,” says Winwood.

In late December, Winwood’s music video for her current single “Few More Records,” entered into rotation on CMT’s CMT Edge. Throughout the video, Winwood expresses the story of the song by portraying someone burnt out on the road, struggling with inner demons, but knowing there is still a job to do. She wanted to show fans that is a possibility to embrace demons by dancing with hers throughout the video. Watch the video for “Few More Records” here

Award-winning Circle Network announced today that it is set to premiere "More Life," a documentary on multi-award-winning artist Randy Travis featuring many of his last recorded performances, on Thursday, February 10 at 8:30 PM ET. Made available to viewers for the first time ever, More Life will air following the season two premiere of “Upstream with Elizabeth Cook,” where Elizabeth joins Randy and his wife Mary at their home in Texas for a day of fishing.

In 2011, "More Life" started as an intimate concert special honoring the 25th anniversary of Randy's iconic album Storms of Life. However many didn't know how important this documentary would become. As the film was being finalized in 2013, Randy unexpectedly became ill and suffered a massive stroke, making him unable to perform and severely limiting his speech.

"Though this documentary began as a 25th Anniversary special, it quickly pivoted into a chronicled celebration of life’s setups and setbacks, after my massive stroke in 2013. The planned few months of composing, turned into 10 years—Mary and I thank the perseverance and patience of the wonderful team that waited and believed in it until completion...the ones that care and protect the legacy of my music,” said Travis.

He continues, “With the colorful life I've lived and four rollercoaster decades in the music and movie industry, there are infinite stories to tell in a finite timeframe. As I watch and listen to the cadence of kind words, special memories, and well-wishes from friends and colleagues, captured in the documentary, I am reminded of the blessed life God has given me. I appreciate those who gave ‘More Love' along the way, and the fans that continue to shed ‘More Light' along my path. There aren’t words that express the gratitude I have for the ones that came along when the day was dim, the future unknown…that gave me ‘More Life’.” With excitement, Travis closes with this, “Not feeling is final…and, I’m feeling great!  Enjoy!"

"More Life" has grown beyond its initial vision and has become a celebration of Randy's legacy. The documentary will also feature a special duet performance with Travis and country artist Josh Turner who appeared on Travis’ 25th anniversary album.

Teresa George, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Circle Network, adds “Randy Travis’ light has shined brightly over this town ever since he stepped into the music scene. We are honored to have a part in sharing this inspiring story of his courage, kindness and talent with the world.”

“Randy Travis is the cornerstone of Warner Music Nashville, and we are both honored and humbled to share 'More Life' with the world,” said Shane Tarleton, EVP of Artist Development at Warner Music Nashville. “We’ve been in production for over a decade on this documentary which shines a light on the passion that still drives one of the most important voices in modern country music history.”

Leading into the documentary will be the season two premiere of Circle’s original series “Upstream with Elizabeth Cook.” For this episode, Elizabeth travels to country music legend Randy Travis’ home in Texas where she joined him and his wife Mary to fish. Elizabeth is given a tour of the ranch where longhorn, buffalo, and show horses reside. Elizabeth’s love and respect for Randy makes for an incredibly heart-warming show.

"More Life" and “Upstream with Elizabeth Cook” will air Thursday, February 10 beginning at 8 PM ET.

"More Life" is directed and produced by Shaun Silva. Shane Tarleton and Mike Dupree serve as executive producers along with Tacklebox Films.

“Upstream with Elizabeth Cook” is produced by OEG Productions with Martin Fischer as Executive Producer and Kathryn Russ as director/producer.

Circle is a joint venture between Opry Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of Ryman Hospitality Properties, and Gray Television. For more schedule and program details, visit www.circleallaccess.com.

Icon Entertainment Group’s Johnny Cash Museum – which has become a staple of Nashville, country music and Johnny Cash culture – has been voted Best Music Museum in the 2023 USA Today/10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards.

The revered Music City attraction, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, was one of 20 museums around the United States nominated for the awards by a panel of travel experts earlier this year, and it garnered the top spot after four weeks of public voting that concluded on February 13. The full list of winners is available here.

“It’s a testament to Johnny Cash’s lasting legacy that ten years after his museum opened, it has been named the number one music museum in America by USA Today and 10Best readers nationwide,” said Bill Miller, Icon Entertainment Group’s founder and CEO. “We are honored and gratified by this important accolade, which makes this milestone anniversary year all the more special, and we thank all of those around the country who cast their votes for the Johnny Cash Museum.”

Icon also announced that a special event commemorating the museum’s 10th anniversary will take place on Tuesday, May 30 at the Johnny Cash Museum and Johnny Cash’s Bar & BBQ. Details on that anniversary celebration will be announced in the coming weeks.

Icon’s flagship asset, the Johnny Cash Museum was born out of Miller’s personal relationship with the legendary artist that began 50 years ago. Cash was instrumental in helping the teenaged Miller establish an early foothold in Nashville as a photographer, and later enlisted Miller to launch his official website. After engaging with hundreds of thousands of Cash fans through his Johnny Cash Radio Show weekly podcast, Miller recognized that Nashville lacked a Cash attraction that properly honored the man who literally put the city on the map internationally, and promptly set out to establish the Johnny Cash Museum.

Opened in 2013, the museum was the first component of Icon Entertainment Group’s extensive presence in downtown Nashville, which now includes more than 100,000 square feet of commercial real estate and more than 500 employees.

About the Johnny Cash Museum
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2023, the Johnny Cash Museum is officially authorized by the Estate of Johnny Cash and features the largest and most comprehensive collection of Johnny Cash artifacts and memorabilia in the world. Ranked the #1 Music Museum in the world by Forbes, Condé Nast and National Geographic Traveler and voted the Best Music Museum in the 2023 USA Today/10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards, the museum is also one of only six Nashville attractions to garner the coveted AAA Gem Rating and has welcomed millions of visitors to-date. With state-of-the-art exhibits, personal letters, stage costumes, guitars, handwritten lyrics and contributions from family members and notable friends and an expansive gift shop, the museum is THE premier Cash venue to visit. Open every day in the heart of downtown Nashville.
