As the wheels of the Grateful Dead keep turning, two of its founding members Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, have found themselves traveling on different paths. Weir is currently a member of the supergroup Dead & Company with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, frequent collaborator Jeff Chimenti, and two other Grateful Dead members Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart. Phil Lesh on the other hand operates the Dead-themed venue Terrapin Crossroads and performs with an ever-rotating cast of musicians in Phil Lesh and Friends. While Weir and Lesh had previously banded for the famed Fare Thee Well reunion 2015, the duo last came together in March of 2018 for an intimate tour where the duo were billed as “Bobby & Phil.”

Night two, originally filmed on March 3, 2018, was particularly special as it featured an appearance from Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio for the entire second set. FANS is proud to present a rebroadcast of this intimate performance as a free stream on Sunday, May 31 while accepting donations to help raise funds to support the non-profit organization HeadCount. HeadCount works with musicians to promote participation in the voting process in the United States and has signed up 600,000 voters since its inception in 2014.

Be in the Stream allows viewers the opportunity to be showcased from the comfort of their homes, reliving their favorite music memories or experiencing them for the first time. While the music and concert industry has been disrupted by the coronavirus, FANS is giving you the chance to experience live music in an all-new way. Be in the Stream with “Bobby & Phil” on Sunday, May 31.
