From the same team that brought you last year’s successful Campfire Outdoor Adventure & Music Festival in Lakewood, PA, comes the new and highly anticipated Campfest- a three-day music celebration that recreates the magic of childhood summer camp. Held from September 18th to 20th at beautiful Camp Blue Ridge, nestled within 250 acres of the Blue Ridge Mountains and within two hours of Atlanta and Asheville, Campfest creates a memorable and exhilarating experience by providing outdoor recreation and competitions alongside incredible musical performances.

Campfest is thrilled to announce Cold War Kids and Hey Rosetta! as its headliners on a lineup including Langhorne Slim, The Whigs, and a carefully crafted array of  more national, regional and local acts to be revealed soon. In addition to the main stage area, there will also be a beach stage that attendees can enjoy while lounging by a heated pool, as well as pop up and late night performances throughout the camp all weekend long.

"We're thrilled to partner with Camp Blue Ridge as we continue to fine tune the summer camp festival concept! Blue Ridge's state-of-the art facilities and commitment to excellence ensure a smooth and fun event from start to finish for all our campers. This time around we're also focusing on truly integrating music into the camp activities, like pop up performances during kickball tournaments and more. We can’t wait to meet all our campers this year!"

- Trailblazer Productions

“After seeing the overwhelming success of hosting mud adventure races onsite with just local bands, we know the awesome potential we have with a stellar lineup and non-stop camp activities all weekend. We’re excited to be a part of a festival that is the first of it’s kind in the Southeast – with the mountains as a backdrop to the music and activities, who wouldn’t want to be at Campfest?”

- Camp Blue Ridge

By embracing the summer camp attitude of making new friends, connecting with nature and being exposed to arts and recreation, guests have the opportunity to escape from their daily lives and reconnect with the joy and possibilities of childhood. Campers relax, compete, interact, and leave re-energized basking in the glow of new friends and memories.

Campers can win points all weekend for doing absolutely anything and be crowned king and queen of Campfest by: rock climbing, best zip line scream, 5K, best kickball costume, relays and obstacles, tennis, not-so-5k, low ropes course, hiking, high diving, blob bounce, and having an awesome time amongst other “shenanigans.” Camp Blue Ridge is a fully equipped summer camp that allows for all the same activities attendees enjoyed as children as well as fresh and creative ones.

Campfest has numerous accommodation options including shared and private cabins, and general admission camping in three beautiful locations throughout the camp- Beach, Mountain and Field of Dreams. There will also be weekend passes available for guests to attend the event, stay offsite and take advantage of the many hotels and other accommodations in the surrounding area.

Three-day early bird tickets are on sale now for $49 for a limited time only. Three-day VIP passes are available for $250, and all guests that wish to stay on site must purchase a $75 camping pass or a cabin starting at $250 per person. All campers will have the option to buy into a camp meal plan that will provide four meals throughout the weekend. There will also be weekend passes available for guests to attend the event, stay offsite and take advantage of the many hotels and other accommodations in the surrounding area.

The inaugural Campfest, a three-day celebration that revives the excitement and nostalgia of childhood summer camp, will be held September 18th to 20th at beautiful Camp Blue Ridge, nestled within 250 acres of the Blue Ridge Mountains and within two hours of Atlanta and Asheville. Campfest provides a multitude of outdoor recreational activities and competitions alongside top-notch musical performances.

In addition to headliners Cold War Kids and Hey Rosetta! as well as Langhorne Slim and The Whigs, Campfest is proud to welcome Margo and the Pricetags, Alanna Royale, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Brushfire Stankgrass, Family and Friends, Hardy and the Hard Knocks, City Mouse and Nikki Talley to the lineup.

Campfest is a dream come true for both competitors and fun lovers. Everything…literally everything, wins you points: from buying a beer, running the 5K, best belly flop, winning the cabin decorating contest, best costume at the Costume kickball tournament to taking a nap in a hammock. So, what’s the point of all these points? You can become the King or Queen of Campfest. The two people with the most points by Sunday’s Bluegrass Brunch will be crowned- an honor no other festival knows. An award ceremony on the Main Stage on Sunday will honor all winners of all activities. All currently scheduled Campfest activities can be found at bit.ly/1FLzDiJ. Even if attendees don’t win a single point (which is pretty much impossible), they’ll have a hell of a fun time watching the absurdity unfold.

Three-day event passes are on sale now at bit.ly/1zeQvCf for $89, and VIP tickets are priced at $250. All guests that wish to stay onsite must either purchase a $75 camping pass for either Beach or Field of Dreams camping or a cabin pass starting as low as $150 per person in addition to an event pass. Attendees can either purchase a single cabin ticket in a communal cabin or bunk up with up to 18 friends. Tickets for The Lodge, the epitome of camp luxury, include a private room with full sized bed, Happy Camper lounge with fireplace, VIP admission for 2 to the festival and tons of snacks and goodies. Lodge rooms with a private bathroom are $1500 and with a shared bathroom are $1200.

Attendees are encouraged to join the Campfest mailing list at bit.ly/1zeQvCf for a chance to win a pair of free event passes.

Campfest combines attendees’ favorite summer camp activities (plus some new ones of their own!) and top-notch live music performances to deliver a weekend packed full of adventure and relaxation.

Campfest is excited to welcome New Breed Brass Band and Wrenn to its already excellent lineup featuring Cold War Kids, Hey Rosetta!, Langhorne Slim, The Whigs, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Margo and the Pricetags and more! New Breed Brass Band, a band that lives and breathes the culture of New Orleans, is a custom-made enhancement of second-line brass band tradition that expands on the conventional genres of funk, rock, jazz and hip-hop. In addition to their poolside performance, they will be leading a pop-up parade through camp. Athens’ newly crowned pop- sweetheart, Wrenn, combines rich, vibrant vocals with powerful songwriting and is quickly making her mark on the regional music scene. Campfest is an intimate experience with artists hanging out, participating in activities and holding impromptu jam sessions, so campers should expect to get extra face time with some of the incredible artists on the lineup.

Pack light and let Campfest do the cooking for you! Each Meal Plan includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday, entry to Sunday’s Bluegrass Brunch, one voucher that can be used at the Camp Café, plus a handful of drink tickets. At Bluegrass Brunch, guests can fill their bellies with Southern favorites and savor the weekend’s memories while kicking off Sunday Funday with live bluegrass music.

Campfest is partnering with Thunderbolt Yoga to provide multiple Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga classes per day suitable for all levels. It is a powerful, energetic, and playful style with a strong emphasis on breath and alignment. Beginners, intermediate and advanced students alike can be challenged in the all levels classes. Thunderbolt Power Yoga’s mission is to lead people into the life they love, and they are committed to helping campers be audaciously playful and dedicated to their practice of yoga.

Camp Counselors will be on the prowl all weekend to reward anyone for doing anything awesome, from winning Costume Kickball to showcasing their sick dance

moves. Participate in a scavenger hunt or the cabin and campsite decorating contest, climb on the rock climbing wall or fly down the zip line- activities are all included in the cost of campers’ Event Pass. Participation is not required but is highly encouraged in the spirit of camp! Pre-registration will be available and is recommended for some group activities and competitions. All currently scheduled Campfest activities can be found at bit.ly/1FLzDiJ. Even if attendees don’t win a single point (which is pretty much impossible), they’ll have a heck of a fun time watching the absurdity unfold.
