Guitar virtuoso and rock legend, Steve Hackett (formerly of Genesis), releases his latest album The Night Siren on Friday, March 24th 2017, through InsideOut Music (Sony). As implied in the title, The Night Siren is a wake-up call…the warning of a siren sounding in this era of strife and division.

The Night Siren showcases Steve’s incredible guitar as strongly as ever, along with musicians from several different countries, who Steve invited to join him in celebrating multicultural diversity and unity.  This includes singers from Israel and Palestine, who both actively campaign to bring Jewish and Arabic people together.  There are also instrumentals from the USA and Iraq, and a multiplicity of sounds, including the exotic strains of Indian sitar and Middle Eastern tar and oud, the ethnic beauty of the Peruvian charango, and the haunting Celtic Uilleann pipes.

Steve is widely travelled, making friends everywhere he goes, and has always embraced multicultural diversity. In these times of unrest, he has been inspired to express his belief that the world needs more empathy and unity.  His wish to involve a range of musical sounds, instruments, musicians and singers from different parts of the world is both a development of his eclectic approach to music and shows how people can be brought together, even from war-torn regions.

Talking about his latest work, Steve says, “This latest waxing represents a bird’s eye view of the world of a musical migrant ignoring borders and celebrating our common ancestry with a unity of spirit, featuring musicians, singers and instruments from all over the world.  From territorial frontiers to walled-up gateways, boundaries often hold back the tide.  But while the night siren wails, music breaches all defences. To quote Plato, ‘When the music changes, the walls of the city shake’.”

The musical journey takes us from ‘Behind the Smoke’, focusing on the plight of refugees throughout the ages, to the penultimate track ‘West to East’ which reflects on the damage of war and the hope for a better world.

From personal to universal, the themes celebrate the life force, breaking free from chains of repression.

Full Track Listing:

1.  Behind the Smoke

2.  Martian Sea

3.  Fifty Miles from the North Pole

4.  El Niño

5.  Other Side of the Wall

6.  Anything but Love

7.  Inca Terra

8.  In Another Life

9.  In the Skeleton Gallery

10.  West to East

11.  The Gift

In addition to singers Kobi and Mira (Israeli and Palestinian), also featured on the album are Nick D'Virgilio (drums) from the USA, Malik Mansurov (Tar) from Azerbaijan & Gulli Breim (drums & percussion) from Iceland, along with regular Hackett collaborators: Roger King, Nad Sylvan, Gary O'Toole, Rob Townsend and Amanda Lehmann.  Additional musicians who add to the rich flavour of the album are Christine Townsend (violin & viola), Dick Driver (double bass) and Troy Donockley (Celtic Uilleann).

Steve Hackett is returning with an exciting new show, Genesis Revisited with Classic Hackett, for a 13 date North American tour in February and March 2017.

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the classic Genesis album, Wind and Wuthering, Steve and his band will be performing several tracks from the album as well as fan favorites such as ‘The Musical Box’ and other Genesis numbers never performed before by Steve's band including ‘Inside & Out’, ‘One For The Vine’ and ‘Anyway’ as well as material from The Night Siren.

Due to overwhelming demand on the first leg of The Last Waltz 40 Tour: A Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Last Waltz, Blackbird Presents is proud to announce additional tour dates beginning on March 30, 2017 at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas, Texas and running across multiple U.S. cities throughout the month of April. A full list of tour dates and venues is listed below.

Tickets for all shows go on sale March 3, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. EST at http://lastwaltz40tour.com

The Last Waltz 40 Tour, created by Keith Wortman and led by GRAMMY® Award-winning guitar legend and vocalist Warren Haynes and GRAMMY® Award-winning producer/musician Don Was, has been met with critical praise and warm reception from audiences across the country who have been thrilled night after night by the amazing music of The Band showcased in a unique light.  The additional dates will also include Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and GRAMMY® Award-winner Dr. John, Jamey Johnson, Terence Higgins, Danny Louis, an all-star horn section led by Mark Mullins featuring the original horn arrangements of Allen Toussaint, and very special guests Cyril Neville, Dave Malone, and Bob Margolin. Other very special guests to be announced.

“You soon knew that [The Band’s] legacy would be well feted. Earplugs were required — for the crowd, not the band,” wrote the Huffington Post in its review of the show at the Orpheum in Boston, Massachusetts. “The roar from the audience, which remained standing throughout the show, eclipsed even the occasional eerily screeching synth segments, and the unworldly bleats often coming out of the horns.”

"Whenever you’re doing someone else’s music, you’re paying respect and bringing the deepest parts of your own personality to bear. And you hope for surprises,” says Haynes in an article published by the Philadelphia Inquirer. "These songs – so deeply ingrained in the zeitgeist of who we are in this country – hearing them now is like finding a rare jewel.”

"People love these songs and they’ve become a part of the emotional zeitgeist of country. And unlike the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys or Pink Floyd songs, there’s nobody that’s playing this stuff for folks. You can’t really go to a concert and hear anyone playing The Band’s songs," says Don Was.

“The Last Waltz 40 Tour: A Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Last Waltz” is an extension of Blackbird Present’s two-night, sold-out concert event “Last Waltz New Orleans: A Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of The Last Waltz,” which took place during Jazz Fest 2016 at the historic Saenger Theatre. Heralded as one of New Orleans best events during Jazz Fest, the epic event paid tribute to The Band’s milestone final concert with unprecedented performances and an extraordinary lineup of artists. “The last 30 minutes of The Last Waltz @SaengerNOLA was best thing I’ve heard @jazzfest” said Keith Spera, music critic, The New Orleans Advocate.

Following the expanded and re-mastered re-issues of Uriah Heep’s first 2 albums (and a new 2 disc anthology called, ‘Your Turn To Remember’) follows these double CD sets of 3 classic Heep albums. The band’s 3rd album ‘Look At Yourself’ was originally released in October of 1971 and represented the first for manager Gerry Bron’s new label ‘Bronze Records’ and was also their first to hit the Top 100 of the Billboard Top 200, peaking at #93.   The title track is a charging statement of intent as the band don’t let up, with no time to reflect on their success. Such was their hectic schedule at this time they managed to cram touring, session time and 3 albums in the space of 12 months. ’Demons And Wizards’ was released in June 1972 and is widely hailed to be their masterpiece. In the US, the album reached #23 on The Billboard Top 200 and was their first album to be RIAA Certified GOLD.  It also features their 2 best known tracks in the states, the Classic Rock Radio staple “The Wizard” and their highest charting single, “Easy Livin’” (#39 Billboard Hot 100). Signs of personal problems and pushy management started to have an effect on the band and the next album, ‘The Magician’s Birthday’ released  November 1972, though a quick follow-up the band somehow managed to pull it off with the album hitting #31 on the Billboard Top 200 and was their 2nd consecutive album to be RIAA Certified GOLD.

These re-packaged and re-mastered albums have been endorsed by the band all with a bonus disc of un-released material. ‘Look At Yourself’ was released with a unique foil front cover and this has been faithfully re-created in a lavish digipack format using foil board material which presents the entire package in a new and shimmering light. Roger Dean’s artwork for ‘Demons And Wizards’ and ‘The Magician’s Birthday’ captures the music (and the times) perfectly and extensive sleeve notes featuring interviews with the band are written by Joel McIver.

To Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Record Store Day on April 22nd, 2107, Heep will reissue their landmark 1973 album, ‘Live 73’. Recorded at the height of their powers with the classic line up of Byron, Box, Hensley, Kerslake, and Thain, ‘Live 73’ hit the Top 40 on the Billboard Top 200 and achieved RIAA GOLD certification.  It has not been officially available on LP in the US for 25+ years.  This exclusive Record Store Day version will be released as 2LP 180G Splatter Vinyl in a gatefold jacket and includes a period replica UK Tour Brochure.  As a special bonus for fans, 50 tour brochures have been autographed by Mick Box and have been randomly inserted in the production run.

Few bands have flown the southern rock flag for as long (and as well) as The Outlaws have done - as proven by their impressive body of work. And they continue to expand their discography, with the recent release of a killer concert recording, Legacy Live, which features rockin’ versions of such classics as “There Goes Another Love Song,” “Freeborn Man,” “Green Grass & High Tides,” and “(Ghost) Riders In The Sky.” And a lyric video for another standout from the album, “Gunsmoke,” has just been unveiled:

"The song ‘Gunsmoke’ was written in late 1976,” recalls the band’s leader/singer/guitarist, Henry Paul. “It was an early attempt on my part to write lyrical imagery specifically for The Outlaws musical personality. I was honored to get the lead track position with it on the ‘Hurry Sundown’ album and I think it’s held up pretty well after all this time.”

And accompanying the album and video will be shows throughout the year, including shows in the east and south of the United States. Also featured in The Outlaws line-up (in addition to Paul) is Monte Yoho – drums, Chris Anderson – lead guitar, vocals, Randy Threet – bass, vocals, Dave Robbins – keyboards, vocals, and Steve Grisham – lead guitar, vocals.

Formed in Tampa In 1972, The Outlaws – known for their triple-guitar rock attack and three-part country harmonies – became one of the first acts signed by Clive Davis (at the urging of Ronnie Van Zant) to his then-fledgling Arista Records. The band’s first three albums The Outlaws, Lady In Waiting and Hurry Sundown – featuring such rock radio favorites as “There Goes Another Love Song”, “Green Grass & High Tides”, “Knoxville Girl” and “Freeborn Man” – would become worldwide gold and platinum landmarks of the Southern Rock era. Known as ‘The Florida Guitar Army’ by their fans, The Outlaws earned a formidable reputation as an incendiary live act touring with friends The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Marshall Tucker Band and The Charlie Daniels Band as well as The Doobie Brothers, The Who, Eagles and The Rolling Stones.

Along with founding members Henry Paul and Monte Yoho, the band features several of Southern Rock’s most respected veterans: Co-lead guitarist and longtime Outlaw Chris Anderson is well known for his collaborations with artists that include Dickey Betts, Lucinda Williams, Hank Williams Jr., and Skynyrd. Keyboardist/vocalist Dave Robbins is a co-founding member of Blackhawk and has written hit songs for artists that include Restless Heart, Kenny Rogers and Eric Clapton. Bassist/vocalist Randy Threet has performed with Pam Tillis, Trisha Yearwood and Blackhawk, and is familiar to TV audiences from USA Network’s ‘Nashville Star’. Co-lead guitarist Steve Grisham - who joined the band in mid-2013 following the medical leave of guitarist Billy Crain - is a former member of the ‘Soldiers of Fortune’ era Outlaws, a noted songwriter whose tracks include The Henry Paul Band's Top 40 hit “Keepin' Our Love Alive,” and a co-founder of the Southern Rock all-stars, Brothers of the Southland. “From the very beginning, our band had a heart,” Monte Yoho says, “for The Outlaws, it’s still about the music. And more than ever, it’s about live music!”

And soon, US fans will be able to rock out once more with the mighty Outlaws.

Since reuniting for a U.S. tour in 2016, YES featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman have performed sold-out shows in Israel, the UK, Belgium and Holland, and have a Japanese tour scheduled for April. Due to public demand, they return to tour the U.S. again from August 26th through October 11th. In addition to the tour dates, the trio will be recording new material throughout the summer for a projected album release of early 2018. Also upcoming is a DVD that was filmed at the final UK show of their recent European tour (at Manchester Apollo, on March 25th), for release later this year. And to the delight of longtime YES fans, all three were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Fame on April 7th.

The most successful prog rock group of all time, YES, was co-founded by Jon Anderson and the late Chris Squire in 1968 and went on to sell millions of units with releases such as Fragile, Close to The Edge, Tales From Topographic Oceans, Going For The One and 90125, as well as embarking on several record-breaking world tours.

Whilst Rick is predominantly associated with the '70s "prog era" of the band (which saw YES become a worldwide stadium headliner) and Trevor associated with the '80s "pop era" of the band (which furthered the band's popularity - including the band's biggest chart success), Jon is the bridge between both factions (as he was a member of both eras). The touring band line-up is completed by two extraordinary musicians - Lee Pomeroy on bass and Louis Molino III on drums – who help to ensure that YES’ immaculate artistic legacy remains intact.

The worldwide tour with YES featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman is being produced by renowned concert promoter Larry Magid, who is considered an architect and leader of the modern concert business. With over 17,000 concerts and live events to his credit and still counting, he has produced national and international tours for YES, Billy Crystal, Richard Pryor, Bette Midler, Stevie Wonder, Robin Williams, Gladys Knight, The Isley Bros., Earth Wind & Fire, ARW, Il Divo, The Allman Brothers Band, Patti LaBelle, Grover Washington Jr. and many others. In 1985 Larry Magid, co-produced the American portion of Live Aid, and in 2005, he was the American producer of Live 8. In 2001, he produced the United We Stand concert at RFK Stadium to benefit the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Described as “Female fronted symphonic metal hailing from Ohio, USA,” Elantris will support their recently-released debut album, ‘This Sacrifice,’ with a set of dates that will also feature Insomnium, Lacuna Coil, and headliners Epica.

Comprised of band members Lindsay Victoria Ketchum -Vocals, Thomas Ullom - Vocals, Garrett Chetock- Guitar, John Dobosh - Bass, Mark Liber - Keys, and Erik Liber- Drums, Elantris are extremely excited about the upcoming trek, which will run from August 31-September 29, as evidenced by the following quote:

“We are very excited for the opportunity to perform with such incredible bands. With our combined powers, we see no reason we can't reshape the hearts and souls of everyone present at the shows. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to play on a fantastic tour and get to play our music at so many great venues, in front of so many incredible fans.”

“Our main goal on this tour is to stimulate the economy by increasing the production of mops and buckets. These will be vital in dealing with the increased sweat and face melting that occurs at most venues due to extreme headbanging and joyous feeling that occurs from witnessing raw epicness!”

Along with the release of their aforementioned debut on November 17, 2016, Elantris has previously played shows with the likes of Sonata Arctica, Xandria, Delain, Epica, Eluveitie, and Amaranthe (roughly 150 shows in total thus far), and are comparable stylistically to such renowned artists as Epica, Kamelot, Delain, and Xandria.

And soon, North American rock fans will get the opportunity to catch this fast-rising group on a nearby concert stage.

A new collection of classic Emerson, Lake & Palmer albums are being released on CD, vinyl and download by BMG on 26 May 2017. They include ‘Works Volume 1’, ‘Works Volume 2’ and ‘Love Beach,’ three records that represent an important phase in the group’s remarkable career. Their release is part of a comprehensive re-issues programme by BMG that began early in 2016 to spotlight ELP’s legacy of nine studio albums as well as their various ‘live’ recordings and compilations.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer was one of the most successful and innovative British groups of the 1970s. Blending different styles from rock to classical and jazz they were pioneers of Progressive Rock. The founder members were keyboard virtuoso Keith Emerson, lead singer, guitarist and bass player, Greg Lake and percussionist and showman drummer Carl Palmer. The group formed in 1970, made its debut at the Isle of Wight Festival, when their wild stage act and dynamic music stole the show. The trio went on stadium tours, sold over 40 million albums and enjoyed hit singles with ‘Lucky Man’ and ‘Fanfare For The Common Man.’ ELP’S first seven albums were U.K. and U.S. chart hits. The first three ‘Emerson, Lake & Palmer,’ (1970), ‘Tarkus’ (1971) and ‘Pictures At An Exhibition’ (1971) were all re-issued by BMG on 6th June, 2016.

Another set of releases featuring ‘Trilogy’ (1972), ‘Brain Salad Surgery’ (1973) and ‘Welcome Back, My Friends, To The Show That Never Ends - Ladies And Gentlemen..’ (1974) was released on 30th September, 2016. All of ELP’s album tracks have been carefully re-mastered by world renowned studio engineer Andy Pearce and made available in a variety of formats. They include high quality CD, freshly cut vinyl LP and HD digital download. At the special request of the late Greg Lake, the LPs are presented on 140 gram vinyl to endure a superior, high quality sound. The CD booklets contain extensive liner notes with rare photographs and new band interviews by legendary rock journalist Chris Welch.

THE ALBUMS

Works Volume 1 This double CD comprises all the material first released as a double vinyl album in March 1977. Now fully re-mastered, the 14 tracks include songs and instrumental pieces composed, arranged and recorded by the individual members of the group. These solo efforts were showcased on three sides of the original LP while the fourth side had two joint ELP compositions. Disc 1 of the CD set presented Keith Emerson’s ambitious ‘Piano Concerto No.1’ performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. It is followed by five of Greg Lake’s most melodic songs including ‘C’est La Vie’ with lyrics by Pete Sinfield.

Disc 2 has dynamic instrumental pieces by Carl Palmer performed in a variety of styles with different musicians, among them James Gang/Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh. The great jazz composer Harry South is also present. Carl also contributes a powerful new version of ‘Tank’ first heard on the group’s debut album. Two major ELP works include the full version of their hit single ‘Fanfare For The Common Man’ and the extended concept piece ‘Pirates’.  The double LP set replicates the original LP artwork and design, with embossed cover text and ELP logo. It contains the full 1977 album, remastered from the original analogue tapes.

Works Volume 2 ‘Works Volume 2’, a compilation first released in November 1977 offers another rich seam of ELP songs and instrumental performances. Among the 19 tracks on CD disc 1 are Keith Emerson’s raucous piano outings ‘Barrelhouse Shake Down’ and single hit ‘Honky Tonk Train Blues’. They complement Greg Lake’s perennial hit ‘I Believe In Father Christmas’ and Carl Palmer’s dramatic ‘The Enemy God’ among the highlights of their contributions. CD 2 has atmospheric ‘live’ performances recorded during the group’s concert at the Olympic Stadium, Montreal Canada in August, 1977, including ‘Fanfare For The Common Man’, ‘Knife Edge’, ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ and the third movement of Keith’s ‘Piano Concerto.'

All tracks are re-mastered from original tapes, capturing ELP performing at the pinnacle of their career. The single LP set replicates the original LP artwork and design, with embossed cover text and ELP logo. It contains the full 1977 album, remastered from the original analogue tapes.

Love Beach A 1 CD Deluxe Edition of the group’s seventh studio album, ‘Love Beach’. It comprises 2017 remastered versions of all 7 tracks from the original 1978 LP. Among many new songs that refreshed ELP’s sound for the modern era are ‘All I Want Is You,’ ‘Love Beach’ and ‘The Gambler.’ Also featured is a 20-minute extended concept piece, the four part ‘Memoirs Of An Officer And A Gentleman’ written by Keith Emerson and Pete Sinfield. Greg Lake talks about the significance of the album in liner notes that became his last ever interview.  Additional bonus material includes some fascinating ‘Love Beach’ rehearsal tracks, providing a compelling insight into the group at work in the studio. The single LP set replicates the original LP artwork and design. It contains the full 1978 album, remastered from the original analogue tapes.

These albums are dedicated to the memories of Keith Emerson (born 2nd November 1944, died 10th  March 2016) and Greg Lake (born 10th November 1947, died 7th December 2016).

Guitarist Ike Willis appeared on countless albums and tours with the legendary Frank Zappa, and recently returned to the rock scene as the leader of the Ike Willis Project. Joining Ike on the tour is another extraordinarily talented guitarist, Grammy winner Micki Free, who will be opening the shows for the Ike Wills Project at the beginning of October.

Both artists will be performing separate sets (and sharing the same backing band), with Ike performing the material from his 2 solo releases, along with doing some of the Zappa material he is most known for - with both artists uniting together at the end of the night for a finale. To check out recent music videos by each, follow these links:

Micki Free-Mojo Black Coffee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAl9xxzXzOw

First discovered by Gene Simmons, Free won a Grammy as a Prince protégé in the RNB/Soul/Funk band, Shalamar, and landed songs in Beverly Hills Cop and Footloose. Free then became part of the great 80’s rock band Crown of Thorns (with Jean Beauvoir), who were a major hit on the European charts, before eventually reuniting under their names in 2015 as Beauvoir/Free.

Free’s latest solo blues release, ‘Tattoo Burn,’ was recently reissued as ‘Tattoo Burn Redux’ (via Mysterium Blues Records), and has been on the Blues Radio charts since May, usually never below 27 on the Top 50 Album charts and as high as 3, and has had 3-5 songs on the top 50 songs charts.

Ike Willis was one of Frank Zappa's most dedicated sidemen - as both a vocalist and guitarist - and continues the tradition with reverent authenticity today. In addition to his own progressive projects and solo material, Ike continues to carry the Zappa torch by contributing to Zappa tributes and appearing at the annual Zappanale Festival in Germany multiple times.

Ike is proud of the superstar lineup that comprises his band, including guitarist JP Cervoni (Buddy Miles and The Babys) along with two time Grammy nominee drummer, Duane Waider, keyboardist Shane Cotter (The Chambers Brothers and Bo Diddley), and Robert Byrnes on bass who recorded with Michael McDonald.

Don't miss a chance to see Ike and his band live as they play it all!

If it’s worthy rock n’ roll that you’re after, the latest release from Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers, ‘More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows,’ will most certainly meet your requirements. “‘More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows’ is our first studio recording since 2009’s ‘East Carson Street’,” the band leader, Joe Grushecky explains. “The last few years have been marked by loss and turmoil. This record has me facing down the past while looking to embrace the future as a man who has definitely seen more yesterdays than tomorrows. That does not mean we are ready to go quietly into the night. Rather, we are starting fresh with a new hard earned perspective and a new line-up. The Houserockers are more than ever, ready to rock.”

Joining Grushecky on the album is guitarist Danny Gochnour, bassist Jeff Garrison, and drummer Joffo Simmons, as well as a certain person that Grushecky has known for years. “My son, Johnny, who was born a Houserocker, steps into a new role as producer along with our soundman, Brian Coleman, and long-time producer, Rick Witkowski. Together, they have fashioned a sound that is both fresh and familiar.”

There are certain tracks on the album that standout for the singer/songwriter. “‘More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows’ asks us to come together and help each other. It ties our past to our future and asks us to do our best in the here and now. It’s about waking up every day realizing your days are numbered, but indeed it is a brand new day. The Houserockers are the driving force behind the song proving we have no plans on slowing down anytime soon.”

“‘That’s What Makes Us Great,’ ‘Burn Us Down,’ and ‘Hell To Pay’ are my state of the disunion address. As I was writing these songs, I asked myself, ‘How close are we to losing what we hold dear?’  Especially the song, ‘That’s What Makes Us Great’, which was the first single from the album, we collaborated with my good friend, Bruce Springsteen, to make one heck of a rocker. And ‘One Beautiful Night’ is my tribute to the Brill Building and all of those old great Drifters records. I wanted the listener to feel like they were strolling down the Boardwalk on a hot summer night. And with ‘Work in Progress,’ I just want to get a little better everyday. “Hope I die before I get old.” No way. On this record, we put all those years learning our craft into the songs.”

It's surprising that "Joe Grushecky" is not a better-known name amongst the rock n' roll community. After all, he has worked with the crème de la crème of the rock business over the years: Mick Ronson and Ian Hunter are listed as producers of his 1980 release ‘Have A Good Time but Get Out Alive!’ (Steven Van Zandt was unlisted as a co-producer), Steve Cropper produced his 1981 set ‘Blood on the Bricks,’ and Bruce Springsteen (Bruce Springsteen!) produced Joe's 1995 album ‘American Babylon,’ and toured with Grushecky as his guitarist that same year (Bruce and Joe have continued to perform and co-write together).

Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and serving as the leader of the Iron City Houserockers, Grushecky and company created a buzz with ‘Have A Good Time but Get Out Alive!,’ which Rolling Stone called a "new American classic." And despite never scoring that all-important breakthrough hit, Grushecky has certainly built a following, which continues to this day - as evidenced by the arrival of ‘More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows.’

As the man himself states, “This record is an essential for all fans of Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers, and everyone else who just loves rock n’ roll.”

The title track from the new record "More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows" recorded live in Pittsburgh, PA at The Church Recording Studio as part of the Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers exclusive album listening party can viewed be here: https://goo.gl/jB8yvD

Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy was formed in 2001 and comprises Carl Palmer alongside the prodigal talents of Simon Fitzpatrick on guitar and Paul Bielatowicz on bass. This power trio are taking classic ELP works and reconstructing them with drums, bass & guitar rather than replicating the unique keyboard/synth work of the great Keith Emerson. Crowned ‘Prog God of 2017’, Carl Palmer is taking the ELP legacy forward throughout 2018 in new directions, whilst showcasing his immeasurable talents as one of the great technical drummers alive today. The minute I can’t do that, then I’m gone.”

The Guess Who is responsible for countless rock classics, which still retain a major presence on rock radio - “American Woman,” “No Time,” “These Eyes,” etc. The band is set to return on September 14th with their latest album, ‘The Future IS What It Used To Be’, released via Cleopatra Records (available in CD, Vinyl, and Digital formats).

The band is Garry Peterson (Drums, Vocals), D# (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Piano), Will E. (Guitar, Harp, Vocals), Leonard Shaw (Keyboards, Flute, Sax, Vocals), and Rudy Sarzo (Bass, Vocals). The album’s first single, ‘Playin’ on the Radio’, will be released on July 17th. It can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services. Also featured on the album are several special guests including, Tommy Shaw (Styx) on vocals, Brent Fitz (Slash, Gene Simmons) percussion, Jim Kale (Guess Who founding member) and Michael Devin (Whitesnake) on bass guitar.

“The song is a celebration of the radio and what it meant to us all.”, explains D#. “Whenever a new great song hit the airwaves, the DJ would say a few words then off to the races! You’d tune in just to hear it over and over again. The character in the song could be any one of us as we move ahead in life. Great music has the innate power to transport you back to so many great memories in an instant. Music is healing. I see it AND feel it every single night in our audience.”

A music video for the track has been filmed (directed by Nigel Dick and shot in Las Vegas), and the song can be pre-ordered on iTunes. The video can be viewed here:

"I love what I do, and I love trains and I love rock n' roll,” explains Nigel about the video. “So, I was honored to be asked to shoot The Guess Who. And when they told me they were available for a day in Vegas and by chance I stumbled on this wonderful rail-yard full of old engines just up the road from the strip - I was in heaven - and up to my axles in dust! It was a perfect day.”

And the band is pleased with the results. “My very first music video…who knew?!” says Garry. “Having the privilege of working with the legendary Nigel Dick, took me back to growing up in an era where music videos told a creative visual story that I always looked forward to seeing by my favorite artists,” adds Will. “This track was no exception, adding a colorful, action packed sequence to a great story.”

Garry Peterson: “I never dreamed that I would get a chance to record an album, after 40 years, in the same way, and with the same recording gear that we used in the 60s and 70s. This was truly a blessing for me and a humbling, cathartic experience for my musical soul. Thank you to all my bandmates, and everyone who helped make it a reality. I hope our fans enjoy it as much as I do.”

D#: “This all started when I wrote ‘Playing on the Radio’. Lyrically and musically, these songs are the soundtrack to my journey with The Guess Who over the last 10 years. This record was a joy and an honor to create. As version 3.0 of this iconic band, we had our work cut out for us. The challenge in this type of situation is always to be true to the heartroots of the original blueprint, as well as being able to journey onwards into an inspired future, incorporating the new energies that we bring to the experience, as you do in any family, generation after generation. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as we did.”

Will E: “I am honored to be a part of this chapter of The Guess Who. We specifically wrote and arranged the music to reflect what people have always loved about the band; great songs with big vocal driven choruses. We accomplished our own sound while maintaining the classic nature that makes The Guess Who an iconic band.”

Rudy Sarzo: “The Guess Who is part of the soundtrack of my life. It’s truly an honor to have performed on the new record. And I’m already looking forward to the next one.”

Leonard Shaw: “It has been quite the trip since I joined the Guess Who 25 years ago, but I am stoked about our new recording of original songs! These songs are fun to play live, and people are digging them!”

And soon, fans will be able to hear the latest work from this legendary band, upon the arrival of the rocking and inspired ‘The Future IS What It Used To Be.’

Following the tremendous success of 2017’s ‘The Night Siren’ (charted at #22 in Germany, #28 in the UK), legendary former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett announces the release of his new studio album ‘At The Edge Of Light’ on the 25th January 2019.

The album which features ten songs, sees Steve unite a vast amount of styles ranging from guitar driven rock to epic orchestration, from world music to the reflective and atmospheric all brought together in Steve Hackett’s unique style.

Steve says: “In these dangerous times, deep shadows feel even sharper than usual and we find ourselves standing at the edge of light... The contrast between dark and light weaves its way throughout the album in many ways, from the sense of good fighting evil through to the interplay of dark and light opposites magically combining in cultures, including the heartbeat of India and primal tribal rhythms. Ultimately, this album embraces the need for all musical forms and cultures to connect and celebrate the wonder of unity in this divided world.”

At The Edge Of Light is released in a number of formats including a Mediabook CD plus extra DVD with 5.1 surround sound mix & behind the scenes documentary, double vinyl LP + CD, Jewelcase CD and digital album.

Steve Hackett has established himself as one of Rock music’s finest and recognisable guitarists through his time with the legendary Genesis who he joined in 1971 and a solo career following his departure from Genesis in 1977 and is a hugely influential guitarist particularly in the Progressive Rock genre.  ‘At The Edge Of Light’ will be Hackett’s 26th studio album in a solo career that began in 1975 with the release of his debut solo album Voyage Of The Acolyte.

‘At The Edge Of Light’ was mainly recorded in Steve's own studio but also around the world.   The album features international artists, including Durga and Loreley of Pink Floyd vocal fame with drummers Nick D'Virgilio and Simon Phillips from USA, Sheema on sitar from India, Icelandic drummer/percussionist Gulli Briem, tar player Malik Mansurov and Swedish bass player Jonas Reingold... This album also features Paul Stillwell on didgeridoo, Rob Townsend on sax, bass clarinet and duduk, Amanda Lehmann on vocals, John Hackett on flute, drummer Gary O’Toole, Roger King and Ben Fenner on keyboards, Dick Driver on double bass, violinist and viola player Christine Townsend... All magically honed and engineered by Roger King.

The full track-listing is as follows:

Fallen Walls and Pedestals

Beasts In Our Time

Under The Eye of the Sun

Underground Railroad

Those Golden Wings

Shadow and Flame

Hungry Years

Descent

Conflict

Peace

The album is released shortly before Steve performs as special guest on the Cruise To The Edge in February 2019 and the On The Blue cruise featuring Justin Hayward, also in February.

Hackett recently played a series of Genesis Revisited shows with Orchestra and will perform two UK dates with acoustic sets in early December before touring Europe in April/May 2019 and has just announced a UK tour in November 2019 with a much anticipated ‘Selling England By The Pound & Spectral Mornings & Album Highlights’ set. Following a series of social media teasers, The Underground Thieves — Nick Perri’s new, eclectic band — released its sixth single, “Fall,” today, with accompanying music video.

This release follows Perri and The Underground Thieves’ heavy summer and fall touring schedule that saw them supporting acts like Slash, Greta Van Fleet, and Black Stone Cherry.

“Fall” blends elements of psychedelic rock, soul, and blues, set to a down-tempo waltz that features Perri's signature, fierce guitar playing and haunting lead vocals. “This was the kind of song that almost wrote itself,” said Perri. “It’s honest emotion. Once I got into the groove it was done in a matter of minutes.”

The track also features fellow Thieves Justin DiFebbo (K-Floor) on Hammond Organ and Synth, Jimmy Gnecco (Ours) and Hannah Gernand on background vocals, and Kevin Rice (Christina Perri, Mike Posner) on drums. The single follows a plan laid out by Perri last January, for yearlong music releases: chapters of a 12-part story showcasing the singing and songwriting talents of its various collaborators.

“I don’t like the idea of asking people to wait for music anymore, especially for long periods of time,” said Perri. “With this project, we can share our music as it comes to fruition, bringing our fans along on the journey in real-time.”

The hallucinatory music video sees Perri teaming up again with Orange County filmmaker Austin M Bauman, for an erie performance silhouetted against a prism of colors and shapes.

The video also features beautiful Acrobatics from Dana Point residents Nathan Brouwer and Madisen Clanton.

“I wanted the sonic and visual aspects to line up and become one, and I think we achieved that and more,” said Perri. “It was an honor to work with such incredible performers who brought this music video to life.”

Perri said The Underground Thieves will continue releasing one new single, or “chapter,” as often as possible until all 12 songs are complete. At that time, the band will compile the chapters into a full-length album to be distributed both physically and electronically.

“Fall” — is now available on iTunes, Spotify and other major music networks. It was mixed and mastered by Marc DiSisto, whose credits include Pink Floyd, Joe Cocker and Don Henley, among other classic rock and pop icons. DiSisto also engineered Silvertide’s “Show & Tell” album, on which Perri was lead guitarist and co-songwriter.

The Underground Thieves will perform at The Ardmore Music Hall in Philadelphia on Dec 23rd, a concert which will be recorded for a forthcoming live album. Tickets are available through the band's website.

Wed, 02/06/2019 - 6:30 pm

What is certain to be one of the top rock performances of the summer has been announced, with the 2019 edition of the Tail Winds Music Festival. The all-day performance will be held on Saturday, June 29th at The Hudson Valley Regional Airport, in Wappingers Falls, New York (gates open at 11:00am). Headlining the show is Chris Robinson Brotherhood, with additional sets by the likes of Black Stone Cherry, Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime, King’s X, and Sass Jordan.

Pre-sale general admission tickets are priced at $55, and a VIP experience is also available for $150 (tickets for kids twelve years of age and under will be $25) - very affordable prices indeed for such renowned rock acts.

Tickets are available for purchase via tailwindsmusicfest.com.

In addition to a day’s worth of great music, concert goers will also get a chance to dine and drink via a variety of craft beer and food trunk vendors, a VIP experience second to none, while mobile lockers and helicopter rides will also be available. The event has a number of sponsors so far, including iHeartMedia, Lexington Center for Recovery, and Kings Court Brewing Company. The event is benefitting the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.

“We were excited about bringing together a varied line-up of electric rock bands on one show, as the area is missing an event like this. With bands, local food trucks, craft breweries and helicopter rides, it’s an experience you don’t see at other festivals, while also supporting local businesses and raising money for a terrific cause.” -Tail Winds Music Festival creators Matt Cavaliere and Chris Muratore

Be sure to mark June 29th on your calendar, and get ready for a great day of rock n’ roll and summertime fun!

Keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman embarks on his first solo tour of America in 13 years. Wakeman’s The Grumpy Old Rock Star Tour will combine spellbinding piano music with sidesplitting jokes and revealing insights into his 50-plus-year career. Expect an evening of superb musicianship, featuring music from YES, Rick’s own solo epics and early Bowie hits, plus fantastic arrangements of Beatles’ tunes, and much, much more, interspersed with knockabout (and sometimes bawdy!) typically British humor.

The 25 city tour will kick-off Saturday, September 21st in Annapolis, MD at the Maryland Hall For The Creative Arts and continue through November.  Tickets will be going on sale starting next week in select markets. Check Rick Wakeman’s web site www.RWCC.com or the theatre’s sites for specific on-sale information.

Professional musician, keyboard player, songwriter, broadcaster and raconteur, Wakeman’s career started as a much-in-demand session player, who performed on recordings by David Bowie, Elton John, Lou Reed, Al Stewart and hundreds more artists. His big break came in 1971 when he joined YES, who went on to become the most successful prog rock band in the world, but Wakeman has also always gone his own way outside the framework of that group.

In the Seventies, he achieved chart-topping success with solo albums such as Journey To The Centre Of The Earth, The Six Wives of Henry VIII and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, which cumulatively sold over 10,000,000 copies in North America alone.

He has written several film scores, amongst them two for director Ken Russell (Lisztomania and Crimes of Passion) and two ‘Harry Palmer’ movies starring Michael Caine (Bullet To Beijing and Midnight in St Petersburg), and in the UK, has built up an impressive reputation as a witty guest and host on shows like Grumpy Old Men, Countdown, Watchdog and the comedy cabaret show Live at Jongleurs. His wickedly irreverent acceptance speech when YES was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017 nearly brought the house down!

That same year, he made British chart history when his Piano Portraits record became the first solo piano instrumental album to enter the UK’s Top 10 on release – a feat he then repeated with last year’s Piano Odyssey. Both records feature tunes that have a special connection with Rick’s personal musical journey and his subsequent tours, in which he performs a selection of tracks accompanied by hilarious memories and anecdotes have been instant sell-outs in the UK.

The Underground Thieves, a Southern California-based music collective led by artist/song- writer/producer Nick Perri, released its new single and accompanying music video today. Titled “Whole Lotta Money,” the upbeat, fuzz-guitar-driven anthem is the band’s eighth release to date, and the second to feature Perri on lead vocals.

“Whole Lotta Money” has already started earning acclaim for its captivating sounds and confident moods from the band’s music industry contemporaries, including Greta Van Fleet’s Danny Wagner, Blackberry Smoke’s Charlie Starr, and Gibson’s Director of Brand Experience, Mark Agnesi.

“I haven’t heard a song that has made me LITERALLY want to get up and get a guitar and start playing immedi- ately since I was a little kid.” - Danny Wagner

“This song is infectious. You can’t not boogie when you hear it. And, not only does it contain Nick Perri’s fantas- tic guitar playing, but he has stepped up to the vocal mic and is singing his ass off[.]” - Charlie Starr

“The guitar playing, the tones, that drum groove, the hook...everything about it is infectious.” - Mark Agnesi

Produced by Perri, “Whole Lotta Money” features Justin DiFebbo (K-Floor) on Hammond organ and synthesizer, Brian Weaver (Silvertide) on bass, Anthony Montesano and Michael Montesano (Pepper’s Ghost) on background vocals, and new Underground Thieves addition Zil Fessler (Rusted Root) on drums.

“I wanted to write something fun and empowering about being grateful for what you have, and not relying on mater- ial goods for happiness,” said Perri, who embracing his roots delivers a passionate, minute-long guitar solo in the track. “I’m singing from the heart and through my guitar. This song is honest and authentically me.”

Longtime Thieves collaborator Austin M. Bauman filmed the one-shot music video, taking viewers on a tour of Per- ri’s neighborhood as Perri and friends showcase their feel-good summer strut. The video is available to stream below and on the group’s official YouTube channel.

“We try to up our own game with each music video, continually broadening our band’s horizons,” said Perri. “This video has been the most exciting one to create.”

“Whole Lotta Money”—along with The Underground Thieves’ seven preceding singles—is available on iTunes, Spotify and other major music networks. It was mixed and mastered by Marc DiSisto, whose credits include U2, Pink Floyd, Sheryl Crow, Joe Cocker and Don Henley, among other classic rock and pop icons. DiSisto also engineered Silvertide’s “Show & Tell” album, on which Perri was lead guitarist and co-songwriter.

Four singles, dubbed “chapters,” have yet to be released in The Underground Thieves’ 12-part story, a plan detailed by Perri last year. The band will release these anticipated chapters in real-time, upon completion of each song. Fol- lowing the release of its twelfth chapter, the band will compile all chapters into a full-length album to be distributed both physically and electronically.

The Underground Thieves’ seventh single, “White Noise,” was voted song/video of the week in the UK by Louder- Sound.com and Classic Rock Magazine, whose review described the track as, “An enveloping swirl of 70s glam- tinged vocals and warming, melodious Americana that grows into something bigger and almost psychedelic[.]”

The Underground Thieves, a Philadelphia-based rock band led by artist/songwriter/producer Nick Perri, today unveiled an exciting video for their fan-favorite live song, “5.0.1.” The hypnotic performance, featuring Perri on lead guitar, was filmed during the band’s sold-out shows in December supporting The Struts at the Fillmore Philadelphia and showcases the group’s electrifying stage presence and deep musical abilities.

“I wanted to take our live show up a notch and give the audience something unexpected, ” said Perri, who delivers an intense and emotional guitar solo. “‘5.0.1.’ grows and changes a little every night. Even though we have musical cues, it’s largely improvised and really keeps us on our toes.”

The performance features Brian Weaver on bass; Justin DiFebbo on Hammond organ and synthesizer; and Zil Fessler on drums.

The video was co-produced by Ari Halbkram in collaboration with Derek Brad, Brynn Bailey and Steven Hirsch. It is available to stream below and on the group’s official YouTube channel.

World renowned bass player Kasim Sulton will once again be celebrating his longtime association with the ground breaking progressive rock band Utopia and their legacy by performing a limited number of shows consisting entirely of Utopia music with a full band. The set list will be comprised of songs hand-picked by Sulton, spanning the 10 albums he appears on, including deep cuts as well as many more familiar songs.

Sulton joined Utopia in 1976 when the group settled into its most recognizable quartet of Todd Rundgren (guitar, vocals), Kasim Sulton (bass, vocals), Roger Powell (keyboards, vocals), and Willie Wilcox (drums, vocals). All four band members wrote, sang, produced, and engineered the material on their critically acclaimed albums. Sulton wrote and sang lead on Utopia's biggest hit, "Set Me Free," from their best-selling album Adventures in Utopia (1980), which reached #27 on the Billboard Top 40 charts.

"My career began with Utopia," says Sulton. "I can't think of a better way to honor my work with Todd, Roger, and Willie than to do a string of performances that showcase the special and unique music we created together." The tour kicks off Friday, February 28 in Washington D.C.

Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Kasim Sulton is recognized and   respected the world over as a solo artist, and for his work with other artists including Todd Rundgren and Utopia, Meat Loaf, Joan Jett, Hall & Oates, Richie Sambora, Patti Smith, Patty Smyth, Mick Jagger, Blue Oyster Cult, and Don Felder to name just a few. He has added his esteemed input to a variety of projects, ranging from playing bass, keyboards, and/or guitar, to adding vocal harmonies, singing lead, and contributing as a songwriter, to producing entire albums, as he did with the Meat Loaf VH-1 Storytellers CD, released in 1999. Nick Perri & The Underground Thieves, a Philadelphia-based rock band led by artist/songwriter/producer Nick Perri, announced a pre-order today for the group’s anticipated debut album, SUN VIA. Along with the pre-order, the group released the LP’s first single, “Feeling Good."

Recorded and produced by Perri, SUN VIA is comprised of 10 original songs—a cohesive mix of rock-, alternative-, Americana-, and psychedelia-infused tracks.

SUN VIA follows two-and-a-half years of momentum for Perri’s band, during which the group released various singles and music videos, delivered standout performances as support for The Struts and Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, and earned national and international acclaim. Classic Rock Magazine/LouderSound.com named Nick Perri & The Underground Thieves one of the “20 great bands to shake up the 2020s.”

“SUN VIA is a labor of love—I gave it everything I had to give,” said Perri. “It was a long process, and I believe the songs and sounds reflect that effort. I’m very proud of the album top-to-bottom, and I’m excited to finally share it.”

The album’s opening track and first single, “Feeling Good,” has already begun earning praise from the band’s music industry contemporaries, including Greta Van Fleet’s Danny Wagner, Blackberry Smoke’s Charlie Starr, and Gibson’s Director of Brand Experience, Mark Agnesi.

“I haven’t heard a song that has made me LITERALLY want to get up and get a guitar and start playing immediately since I was a little kid.” - Danny Wagner

“This song is infectious. You can’t not boogie when you hear it. And, not only does it contain Nick Perri’s fantastic guitar playing, but he has stepped up to the vocal mic and is singing his ass off.” - Charlie Starr

“The guitar playing, the tones, that drum groove, the hook...everything about it is infectious.” - Mark Agnesi

“Feeling Good” features Perri on lead vocals and guitar, Justin DiFebbo on Hammond organ and synthesizer, Brian Weaver on bass, Anthony Montesano and Michael Montesano on backing vocals, and Zil Fessler on drums—all of whom originate from Philadelphia.

“Back when I wrote ‘Feeling Good,’ I wanted to sing about being grateful for what you have and not relying on material goods for happiness,” said Perri, who—embracing his roots—delivers a hook-filled chorus and minute-long guitar solo in the track. “In light of this current year, however, I believe the song can take on further meaning and purpose. At the end of the day, I hope ‘Feeling Good’ can inspire and uplift listeners. I think spreading positivity, especially during a time like this, is important.”

Vinyl and CD copies of SUN VIA are now available for pre-order here https://linktr.ee/nickperri; the album is also available for pre-order on all streaming platforms. SUN VIA’s official release date is set for August 14, 2020.

Classic rockers/blues rock trailblazers Ten Years After will soon be performing for fans throughout the world once more, via a livestream event. Entitled “Blue Crossroads,” the event includes three performances by different artists, Ten Years After on June 17th, Marcus Bonfanti Electric Band on July 1st, and Jawbone on July 15th.

The Ten Years After portion of the performance will be taking place on June 17th at 9pm EDT (with replay access available for 72 hours afterwards), tickets are available for purchase via boxoffice.mandolin.com.

Celebrating more than 50 years since forming, Ten Years After are still making classic blues rock with a contemporary groove – original members Ric Lee and Chick Churchill have continued this legacy and are now rounded out by guitarist/vocalist Marcus Bonfanti and bass icon Colin Hodgkinson.

Ric Lee: “Fans can expect an hour long concert mixing new and old Ten Years After songs such as ‘Land of the Vandals,’ ‘Hear Me Calling,’ ‘I’d Love To Change the World,’ ‘Silverspoon Lady,’ ‘Good Morning Little Schoolgirl’ and, of course, ‘I’m Going Home’ plus other tracks. From the finished cut I’ve seen we did capture the excitement of a live gig in spite of the fact that, due to Covid restrictions, we weren’t allowed an audience.”

Ten Years After remain one of the most prolific English bands of all time, continuing to tour worldwide. They have come together for the first time since early 2020 for this one off performance from London's Subterania - expect a special evening and raise a glass to one of the legends of rock who are still rolling!

A three time British Blues Award winner as well as countless nominations Marcus Bonfanti of the Marcus Bonfanti Electric Band has toured the world with many artists as well as his own band and released three critically acclaimed albums. His growing reputation as a guitar player and vocalist lead to him being asked to join legendary British Rock n Roll band Ten Years After in 2014. He co-wrote and produced their latest studio album as well as appearing on their last two live albums and touring the world extensively including a special 50th anniversary tour to commemorate The Woodstock Festival in 2019.He is also into his tenth year of fronting the Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion who hold a monthly residency at the prestigious London venue and have had special guests Jack Bruce Eric Burdon Joe Louis Walker Sarah Jane Morris and John Nemeth to join them. Known for his deep powerful vocal style and ability to combine many differing guitar styles to create his own unique sound Bonfanti’s live shows are full of a raw energy that many people thought had left live music a long time ago. This film manages to capture him and the band in full flow at their very best. “He will knock you out” - Huey Morgan.

Jawbone began as a collaboration between established solo artists Paddy Milner and Marcus Bonfanti and the lineup was completed by the renowned rhythm section of Rex Horan and Evan Jenkins. Since the release of their eponymous debut album in 2017 Jawbone have gone from strength to strength honing their live exciting show on the road during extensive touring of Europe. In January 2018 they were chosen to back Eric Clapton Van Morrison & Tom Jones at Paul Jones’ legendary charity show at G-Live in Guildford gaining rave reviews from the artists involved and the sell-out audience alike. The distinctive voices of Paddy Milner and Marcus Bonfanti compliment and contrast throughout the songs as they share lead vocal duties on the album. Rex Horan’s searing falsetto vocals create the three-part harmony that has become a hallmark of the Jawbone sound. Taking influences from Little Feat The Band The Rolling Stones and Crosby Stills Nash & Young but also mixing it with the eclectic musical backgrounds that each member brings allows Jawbone to create a very fresh take on rock’n’roll. The live show captures the band in its most natural form and premiers new material from their forthcoming album as well as live arrangements of the songs from their first.

The livestream is only the first TYA offering for 2021, according to Lee. “The band has a new (to the USA) live album, ‘Naturally Live,’ coming out on Deko Entertainment in the near future with 2 bonus live tracks. Following that, Chrysalis Records is releasing a ‘clam shell’ box set released either this month or July covering the years from 1967 to 1975, and October this year is the 50th anniversary of ‘A Space in Time,’ which was our most successful USA release in 1970. A gold album then, it is now certified platinum. The studio version of ‘I’d Love To Change the World’ (an AM Top Forty hit), was first heard on this album. We’re currently planning to play all or almost all of the album on our next live gigs. With luck we’ll start touring again in Europe later this year and hopefully hit the USA in 2022.”

And Ten Years After will be getting the ball rolling on June 17th, as the first part of the Blue Crossroads livestream event.

Keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman has two reasons to celebrate. First, his outstanding career in music has just been recognized by Queen Elizabeth II, who named him a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in her recent annual Birthday Honours.

And secondly, after 18 months of lockdown in the UK, he is finally able to announce the long-delayed follow-up to 2019’s sell-out The Grumpy Old Rock Star Tour with - The Even Grumpier Old Rock Star Tour!

Having made his name creating prog rock extravaganzas, in his solo shows Wakeman returns to his roots with a programme packed with virtuosic piano performances and hilarious anecdotes, inspired by his 50-plus-year career. Repertoire will range from his solo works and his stints in the band YES through to his early days as a session musician playing keyboards on such classics as David Bowie’s Life On Mars, plus surprises like his unique interpretations of Beatles’ hits and many more memorable tunes, adapted for the grand piano. And all of this glorious music is punctuated by riotous reflections on his life and the people he’s met along the way. As he himself often observes, life is rarely dull when Rick Wakeman is around!

The 24-city tour will kick-off on Thursday, October 14th in Derry, NH at the Tupelo Music Hall and continue through November.  Tickets go on-sale starting Friday, June 25th, 10am local time. Check Rick Wakeman’s website www.RWCC.com or the theatre’s sites for specific on-sale information.

That same year, he made British chart history when his Piano Portraits record became the first solo piano instrumental album to enter the UK’s Top 10 on release – a feat he then repeated 2018's Piano Odyssey. Both records feature tunes that have a special connection with Rick’s personal musical journey and his subsequent tours, in which he performs a selection of tracks accompanied by hilarious memories and anecdotes have been instant sell-outs in the UK.

Now the achievements of his incredible career have been officially recognized with a CBE in recognition of his services to music, so come and celebrate with him on his forthcoming tour. And don’t worry – Rick will still find plenty of reasons to be grumpy…

Reviews from Rick Wakeman’s Grumpy Old Rock Star US Tour 2019:

“A wonderfully intimate, hilarious, and jaw-dropping performance... Not a grumpy soul in the room, least of all Mr. Wakeman himself.” – Parklife DC

“A dazzling display of dexterous fingerwork on the ivories.” – www.vintagerock.com

Reviews from Rick Wakeman’s UK solo tours:

“A hugely enjoyable night for fans and newcomers to Rick Wakeman. Genuine laughs and exquisite musicianship – what more can you ask for?” – Lancashire Telegraph

“The audience… were thoroughly entertained with masterful piano playing and wonderous stories.” – Global Entertainment and Media

“No other artist could entertain a theatre full of people, playing alone, and keep them riveted for the entirety of his set. Rick is one of the warmest, wittiest, most talented musicians around.” – Wolverhampton Express & Star

“Prog lover or not, if you get the opportunity to see Rick Wakeman, go for it; he’s a national treasure, and he’ll make you laugh too.” – Bucks Herald

“An inimitable mixture of dry humour and blinding talent” – East Anglian Daily News

And from YES’ 2017 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:

“Rick Wakeman’s ornate, detailed keyboard work… was just the icing on the cake… Wakeman had already brought the house down with an acceptance speech that contained a hilarious stream of dirty jokes.” – Rolling Stone

Thanksgiving 2021 was certainly a time of celebration for Mandoki Soulmates. Case in point, two of the band members received Grammy nominations - Cory Henry for Album Of The Year and Best Progressive R&B Album and Randy Brecker for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.

In addition to the band recently releasing a video for the song “The Torch” (off their critically acclaimed album, ‘Utopia For Realists: Hungarian Pictures,’ which can be viewed/heard here), Mandoki Soulmates leader Leslie Mandoki celebrated Thanksgiving this year in New York.

Leslie: “For the traditional Soulmates-Thanksgiving, this time my dear Soulmate, Al di Meola, one of the founding members of the MANDOKI SOULMATES about 30 years ago, invited us to his home in New York, and as always, we played each other’s latest music together. Beside one of the best turkey dinners, we’re celebrating the love of life, music, and three decades of friendship, mutual music and values with Soulmates. Thanksgiving is the right occasion to give thanks for the privileged life of a musician that we can live thanks to the audience that inspires our creativity. It was truly another Soulmates ‘family reunion’ again.”

“We first celebrated with our soulmates at Al's house about 30 years ago, and had another wonderful Soulmates gathering here 15 years ago with my three children.   Bringing wonderful changes, Stephanie then gave the house a whole new soul, and it was so beautifully decorated for Thanksgiving. The love, music, and more than 30 years of friendship were in the air and could literally be felt!”

“Yesterday was also time to congratulate our soulmates Cory and Randy on their very well-deserved recent Grammy nominations. When we celebrate family gatherings together with our children today or even at the end of the year, we should realize that they are the future. I am a father of three children, and we should ask ourselves in what condition we hand over our world to the children, the Young Rebels?  We can only overcome the divisions in our society together with the Old Rebels and the Young Rebels. So let's wish them strength, courage and the hunger to strive for the right solutions, and let's help them while there's still time to turn the wind and pass the torch.”

One of the most ground-breaking, original, and fearless figures of popular music was undoubtedly the legendary Frank Zappa. And paying tribute to his late icon is The Zappa Band – a group largely comprised of former members of Frank’s bands. And for the first time ever, the group (who had previously opened a string of shows for prog greats King Crimson) will be headlining their own tour for much of June – beginning in New York on the 12th, and then wrapping up in New Hampshire on the 26th.

A “teaser” video for the upcoming tour can be viewed here.

And thus far, the reviews of The Zappa Band have been outstanding, including praise from LA Weekly (“for those of us who didn’t have the opportunity to see Frank perform, this is the best we can get and it’s damn good”), Pop Culture Beast (“each song was played to near perfection”), and the Fire Note (“a crew of old guys who knew and loved this music and seemed to be having the time of their lives on stage playing it again”), among other outlets.

The Zappa Band's lineup features Zappa alumni Ray White (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Keneally (guitar, keys, vocals), Scott Thunes (bassist) and Robert Martin (keyboards, sax, vocals), and ZPZ alums Jamie Kime (guitar) and ZAPPA archivist Joe “Vaultmeister” Travers (drums, vocals). Each musician played in the studio and on the road with Zappa during his career, while three of these alums played on ‘ZAPPA 88: The Last U.S. Show,’ one of the most recent offerings from Zappa Records & Universal Music. The Zappa alums are joined by Joe Travers and Jamie Kime, who are no strangers to FZ’s music, to round out the ensemble.

MIKE KENEALLY was 25 when he joined Frank Zappa's band in 1987. Since then, he's played in the bands of Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Devin Townsend, been a member of Dethklok, composed with Andy Partridge of XTC, written orchestral commissions for Holland's Metropole Orkest, and made over 30 solo albums, including many with his band Beer For Dolphins. Scambot 2 is the most recent release.

Guitarist / Vocalist, RAY WHITE, got his first guitar from his brother, Charles, at fifteen. Ray’s first show was two weeks later. After four years in the Air Force, Ray headed to San Francisco. He played with Eloise Laws, Lee Oskar, Greg Errico and Lady Bianca (who recommended Ray to Frank Zappa). He played on several albums and tours with Frank. Ray was mentored by one of the world’s greatest composers. "Music is the Best!”

The son of two opera singers from Philadelphia, ROBERT MARTIN is a powerful singer, multi-instrumentalist and conservatory trained French horn player with an extensive list of top tier artists in his resume, including Frank Zappa, Etta James (on tour with the Rolling Stones), Bette Midler, Stevie Nicks, Michael McDonald, and many more. He has composed for prime time television, and mixed and mastered top twenty hits in various genres.

Born in L.A. in 1960, SCOTT THUNES’ musical studies included late 60s and early 70s rock, jazz, fusion, Frank Zappa’s early Mothers period, and two years of music classes at junior college, allowing him to become ‘fantastic‘ enough to join Frank’s band in 1981. He played electric bass guitar, synth bass, sang vocals, and became rehearsal director in 1984. Currently he’s the Rock Band Teaching Artist at Marin School of the Arts, Novato High School.

Drummer JOE TRAVERS, a Berklee College Of Music grad, moved to L.A. in 1992 and joined Dweezil & Ahmet Zappa's group "Z" in 1993. He’s played with Duran Duran, Lisa Loeb, Rich Robinson, Billy Idol, Zappa Plays Zappa, Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani among others. When not on the road, he spends his time as the "Vaultmeister" for the Zappa Trust archiving and preserving the legacy of legend Frank Zappa and co-producing and supervising future projects.

In addition to working with Zappa Plays Zappa, for which he collected a Grammy Award, guitarist JAMIE KIME has played with Jewel, Dr. John, Frankie Valli, et al., as well as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Czech National Symphony performing the works of Frank Zappa. He frequently plays The Baked Potato jazz club in Los Angeles, and is on the faculty of The Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA.

“A lot of amazing Frank Zappa music played with intensity, humor and love,” says Kenneally about what fans can expect from the band. We’ll be enjoying the opportunity to play different material from night to night; we know that often people like to attend multiple shows, and our repertoire is presently large enough to be able to change things up. So, while we will be playing the songs we played last year opening for King Crimson, we won’t necessarily play them all every night, and we’ll be playing lots of other things besides.”

Soon, the music of Frank Zappa will be celebrated once more on the concert stage, with the launch of The Zappa Band’s U.S. tour.

Celebrating the new album’s release, this fabulous archival high end print has been published by the HYPERGALLERY in LONDON UK, the world's premier gallery for authentic signed album cover art, and printed by Visual Impact Studios in Connecticut, USA. The print is numbered and hand signed by both Alan Parsons and the artist, Ioannis. It is limited to only 100 pieces and the series will be closed after that. It will not be available in any other configuration and is the only print signed by the artists. Prints can be ordered now at hypergallery.com for delivery in July.

“I am absolutely delighted with the artwork Ioannis has created for this album. The title was inspired by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák who wrote a symphony while living in America called ‘From the New World.’ I clearly remember the album from my youth with the New York cityscape on the cover. I love how Ioannis incorporated that among other important images into the artwork.”- Alan Parsons

Ioannis has worked closely with Alan and his team on the image for Parsons’ latest album. They agreed from the start that it would be published as an art print, giving fans something special to commemorate this highly anticipated release.

"In the middle of Winter 2022, I received a call from a representative of Alan Parsons to discuss the possibility of working on Alan's upcoming album artwork. I was honored that they asked for me specifically, having seen my work the previous year. Thus FROM THE NEW WORLD began and it was one of the best experiences that I have ever had with a client. The music was so inspiring to create for. Alan and I agreed to celebrate the occasion with the release of an archival quality print - a high end 'fine art' edition, limited to only 100 pieces and signed in pencil by both Alan and myself. This is the first time Alan has done this type of thing and he was as delighted as I was with the result. I am grateful to Hypergallery for helping to release this artwork and making such a unique item available to the dedicated Alan Parsons fan.” - Ioannis

“When Ioannis met me backstage at a show in NJ for me to sign the prints, I was quite pleased with the end result. The prints were just beautiful.” - Alan Parsons

The autographed prints will be available to purchase at a special price of $400.

Although considered as one of the ultimate ’album’ bands, Emerson, Lake & Palmer also crafted some stellar 7” singles across their illustrious career and on August 26th, BMG marks the occasion with the release of the group’s first ever singles box set, a deluxe collection featuring 12 reproduced 2-sided 7” singles pulled from UK & international pressings complete with rare original picture sleeves and label artwork. The box set also contains an extended booklet with detailed notes, a foreword from Carl Palmer, rare band photos plus 12 x 7 companion artcards, inspired from the original single sleeves.

Released in celebration of ELP’s 50 th anniversary, this 1971-1992 career spanning collection of 45’s have all been remastered by world-renowned ELP mastering engineer Andy Pearce and include amongst others, the majestic ‘From the Beginning’ alongside fan favorites ‘C’est La Vie’, ‘Lucky Man’, ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Stones Of Years’, ‘Tiger In The Spotlight’, B-side curio ’Living Sin’ and the UK Chart Number 2 classic ‘Fanfare For The Common Man’.

Listening back again to the 7” mix of ‘Fanfare’ re-affirms its position as one of the most memorable instrumentals to grace the history of the UK charts and one that holds it own when placed alongside other non-vocal chart busting masterpieces such as Booker T & The MG’s ‘Green Onion’s’, Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Albatross’ or the Average White Band’s ‘Pick Up The Pieces’. From the minute Keith Emerson’s Yamaha GX1 synth gurgles into life after the trumpet intro, the track still rocks like a beast, the 45-edit bringing with it an even punchier dynamic to Greg Lake & Carl Palmer’s immensely powerful rhythm section.

Each member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer had their own personal history and relationship with the 7” prior to the formation of progressive rock’s first supergroup. With The Nice, Keith Emerson’s fiery Hammond organ was on several singles, most notably their 1968 cover of Leonard Bernstein’s ‘America’. Greg Lake harboured his own aspirations of stardom covering Janis Ian’s ‘Too Old To Go ‘Way Little Girl’ with The Shame in 1967 and the following year with The Shy Limbs on ‘Reputation’. Carl Palmer’s first band, Craig, had a 1966 shot at the charts with ‘I Must Be Mad’, a thunderous rumble of freakbeat pop underpinned by the then-15-year-old drummer. Bringing things full circle on the role of the humble 7” in ELP’s history, Carl Palmer observes, “This box set of singles is very important to the development of ELP. The music that you will hear opened the door to radio around the world, and then the musical concept of ELP was born”.

Sole surviving member Carl Palmer, in association with the Estates of his bandmates Keith Emerson & Greg Lake, has announced the much-anticipated WELCOME BACK MY FRIENDS- THE RETURN OF EMERSON LAKE &  PALMER Tour.  Launching on Friday, November 18th., 2022 at the 2300 ARENA in Philadelphia, PA, the tour will actually reunite ELP LIVE ON STAGE through modern technology.

After exploring the idea of a Hologram tour in detail, Palmer (with the Estates of Emerson and Lake) opted for what they felt was a more honest approach using live footage of Keith and Greg on massive video walls alongside  Carl (and his band) playing LIVE on stage. The voice and instrumentation of Greg Lake and the unmistakable keyboard mastery of Keith Emerson will be mixed with Palmer’s onstage live drumming to magically reunite ELP once again. Paul McCartney's duet with John Lennon at the end of his recent Got Back tour is a good idea of what ELP fans can expect from this show.

Emerson and Lake passed away nine months apart in 2016, leaving Palmer to carry on the band’s enormous musical legacy.

“About five years ago I explored the idea of trying to reunite the band using digital holograms,” said Carl Palmer. “We saw a few shows of other artists but it did not seem like an honest approach. We were able to use just the camera shots of Keith and Greg, with the sterling audio tracks of their performances resulting in a combination of film and onstage performance that brings back the magic of ELP.”

Here is what music fans can expect:

After establishing themselves in bands such as The Nice, King Crimson, and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, ELP was formed in early 1970 as one of rock’s first (and biggest) supergroups. With record sales of over 50 million and decades of sold-out tours through the 1970s and again in the 1990s, Emerson Lake & Palmer has remained one of the best-selling classic rock bands of all time. The band’s complete recorded catalog, now under the direction and distribution of BMG MUSIC, continues to be a steady force on the international music scene. The tour will coincide with the new BMG box set of classic ELP hit singles pressed on vinyl with reproductions of the original picture sleeves.

The ELP ‘Out Of This World, Live’ box set’, on 10LP and 7CD, released by BMG in 2021, includes the whole Albert Hall London 1992 show being used for the on-stage Greg and Keith footage in the 'Return Of ELP' tour shows.

WELCOME BACK MY FRIENDS:THE RETURN OF EMERSON LAKE & PALMER

The tour is being launched with the full approval of the Emerson and Lake Estates, as well as the various managers who have represented the members of the band. WELCOME BACK MY FRIENDS- THE RETURN OF EMERSON LAKE & PALMER will start in the US during Fall 2022 and eventually play all over the world where ELP toured throughout its career.

The Guess Who is a legendary Canadian band who enjoyed chart topping hits in the late 60s and early 70s with an impressive catalogue of songs including "American Woman," "These Eyes," and "No Time." During the course of its career, the band has released 11 studio albums, all of which charted in Canada and the United States. The Guess Who is best known internationally for its 1970 album, American Woman, which hit number one in Canada and number nine in the United States, with five other albums also hitting the top ten in Canada.  All in all, the Guess Who boasts 14 top-40 singles in the United States and more than 30 in Canada.

Following its critically acclaimed 2018 recording, The Future IS What It Used to Be, the band is currently gearing up to release its latest creation, Plein D’Amour. Band members Derek Sharp, Michael Staertow, Leonard Shaw, Michael Devin, and founding member, Garry Peterson have crafted a collection of songs that raises the bar and continues to take things up a notch both musically and sonically.

The Guess Who is primed to take its stunning new music to even greater heights with its spectacular live show. The band is ready to start the newest chapter of its illustrious career in partnership with Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group) commencing with the forthcoming release of Plein D’Amour. Bandmate Michael Staertow expressed it best when he said, “We couldn’t think of a better time to introduce the world to an exceptional collection of songs that exude positivity and cohesive energy, a much needed cultural antidote. Now we ARE love -- Plein D’Amour!”. Founding member, Garry Peterson continues, “After recording this album, and living with it for a while, I believe this is the best album that I have played on.” Deko Entertainment president, Bruce Pucciarello, comments on the new album, “This new song collection is a progressive-pop blend of well-written material and the musicianship is over the top. Decades later, this band still blows me away!”

Derek Sharp, songwriter and lead vocalist, says, “The King” is a nod to ‘all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, couldn’t put Humpty together again’ … however, loving kindness is a universal balm, which can not only put Humpty together again, but turn him into a Prince!

In addition to the first single “The King” the album Plein D’Amour includes seven more new tracks. The album Plein D’Amour was recorded at Villa Sound in Singhampton, Ontario, Canada, with Adam Fair.

Pre-save the new single “The King” here: https://ada.lnk.to/TheKing.

The Guess Who is currently on tour in North America and will drop the first video and single “The King” from its upcoming album, Plein d’Amour, on February 10. Stay tuned for more details coming soon--and be sure to catch the Guess Who when it gets to a city near you!

The 5x Grammy-winning jazz ensemble Snarky Puppy has added a date to their upcoming world tour – Sharkey’s Event Center in Syracuse, New York (on Sunday, June 25), with tickets going on sale Monday, February 20th. This is the group’s first Syracuse performance in several years (and will take place amidst stops at several major music festivals: Victoria Jazz Festival, Saratoga Jazz Festival, TD Toronto Jazz Festival, etc.). Tickets can be purchased via the following link:

https://syracusetix.com/event/snarky-puppy/

Snarky Puppy is an American jazz fusion band led by bassist Michael League. Founded in 2004, Snarky Puppy combines a variety of jazz idioms, rock, world music, and funk and has won five Grammy Awards – with as many as 20 members in regular rotation. At its core, the band represents the convergence of both black and white American music culture with various accents from around the world. Japan, Argentina, Canada and the United Kingdom, all have representation in the group’s membership. But more than the cultural diversity of the individual players, the defining characteristic of Snarky Puppy’s music is the joy of performing together in the perpetual push to grow creatively.

September 30, 2022 saw the release of their 14th album, Empire Central, which earned rave reviews in AllMusic, Jazzwise, and JazzTimes. “Our soundscape has expanded dramatically over the years” says the band’s bassist, Michael League. “When the band started, we were jazzier, brainy and music oriented. Moving into the Dallas scene we became groovier, more emotional, deeper in a sense. We focused more on communicating a clear message, understandable to a listener without dumbing things down.”

“Snarky Puppy has always been a band that prioritizes the sound of music,” says League. “On this record the songs ended up being a lot more direct and funkier than those on our previous records. I think it reflects the many moods of the city’s scene”. “Our rule is that it can’t sound like it sounded before” he continues, “the music has to feel like it’s moving somewhere.”

Snarky Puppy’s sound now rises like a skyscraper from a 21st century orchestra comprising three guitarists, four keyboardists, two brass, two reeds, a violinist, a bassist, multiple percussionists and drummers. And it’s destined to rise even higher on their upcoming world tour – and their just-added Syracuse show.

John Lodge, legendary bass player, songwriter and vocalist of The Moody Blues and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, has announced that he will be releasing his version of the iconic album ‘Days of Future Passed’, entitled ‘Days of Future Passed – My Sojourn’, to accompany his upcoming tour of the same name.

The album is to be released on CD as special fan club only release, and will be available at the upcoming shows starting July 18th, and through John’s website https://shop.johnlodge.com for pre-orders, with shipping on August 7th.

The album was recorded over the last year, and has grown from John’s current live show as he, and his 10,000 Light Years Band, lovingly recreate this classic album. The album also features a special recording by the late Graeme Edge and performances by Jon Davison of YES. It is being released as part of John’s celebration of the album ‘that changed his life’, and with the hope that it will continue to introduce fans to the original iconic recording. The album’s orchestration is by John’s long-term collaborator, and great friend, Alan Hewitt.

“November 2023 will be the 56th anniversary of 'Days of Future Passed’. It’s incredible to look back on this album that changed my life, and that still has so much impact today on so many, and I felt that it deserved celebrating, and so I began rehearsals in 2021/2022 to bring this celebration to life on stage. What was important to me was to make this concert another milestone in the history of ‘Days of Future Passed’, and so I asked Graeme if he would record his poetry, ‘Morning Glory’ and ‘Late Lament’, to include in my concert. Graeme gave me his blessing and said, ‘John, Keep the Moody Blues music alive’. We had a fantastic time putting the show together, with Alan, Duffy, Billy and Jason, and Jon Davison, giving me so much support and helping bring my vision to life. After the final rehearsals for the concert, I realised I should capture this new moment in time, although a reflection of the past, forever, by going into the studio and recording the album, ‘Days of Future Passed – My Sojourn’. I am hoping that this will bring a new generation of listeners to the album, that they then may rediscover the original recording, and the beautiful vocals of Mike Pinder, Justin Hayward, Ray Thomas and myself.  I dedicate this album to Graeme, Justin, Mike and Ray, to Tony Clarke, and to all the fans that are with me on this sojourn, no matter when you joined…”  John Lodge July 2023

The CD in Digipak will be available starting July 18th at John’s first show in Rockford, IL, and a vinyl album is due to follow in the Fall.  The album will also be available to stream and download from July 14th. The cover features a poignant photograph of John and his wife, Kirsten, taken by his daughter-in-law, Inga Wilson - for John, this was an image that perfectly encapsulated the idea of past and future and what this album means to him.

Go here to stream and download, https://slinky.to/DaysOfFuturePassed

The original album, released in 1967, came about when Decca were exploring stereo and full frequency sound and wanted the band to put the melodies of Dvorak’s New World Symphony to lyrics to make a ‘sampler’ album. The band decided to follow their own path, and the rest is history… but in a reflection of this, John wanted to also explore how modern fidelity will impact the album today.  He is therefore also working on a Dolby Atmos version that will be available for streaming later this year.

Joining John on the album is his 10,000 Light Years Band, comprised of long-term collaborator Alan Hewitt (Music Director and Keyboards, plus Orchestration) and Billy Ashbaugh (Drums) from the Moody Blues touring band, together with Duffy King (Guitars) and Jason Charboneau (Cello).  Jon Davison of YES will also be joining him for his special renditions of “Nights in White Satin” and “Tuesday Afternoon” plus the magical voice of Graeme Edge will be seen and heard via a special video and recording.

The tour kicks off on July 18th at the Coronado PAC in Rockford, IL, and then continues through the Mid-West and onto the West of the USA. The show will also feature a first half set of Moody Blues’ classics, including all of John’s hits, “Ride My See-Saw”, “I’m Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)”, “Isn’t Life Strange”, to name just a few of these classic and time-enduring hits.

One of the world’s best Queen tribute bands, Killer Queen, will be rocking the U.S. once more this year! Led by singer Patrick Myers – faithfully assuming the role of the legendary Freddie Mercury – Killer Queen will be kicking off their latest set of dates kicking off on February 29th in Salina, KS and ending on July 28th in Peoria, IL!

For a sample of the magic that Killer Queen brings to the stage, view this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qucQhBd2WY

“It’s been an amazing journey,” says Myers. “That first show back in June 1993 changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most but it’s a very addictive thing performing these songs! The concerts grew and grew and we’ve ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It’s been quite a surreal ride. Becoming regular performers – Red Rocks Arena in America is another highlight. The Beatles, U2, Springsteen, Dylan all played on that stage. It’s really got its own kind of magic going on there.”

And the reviews that Killer Queen has received have been simply outstanding:

“Concerts as near to the real thing as you’re likely to get. A real life Bohemian Rhapsody. Freddie lives! A pop legend is back” -The People

“Killer Queen is a living jukebox, an absolutely fantastic show. This an evening where you feel the hair stand on the back of your neck. I’ve never seen the arena explode with such an electric charge. The sound is perfect…A concert to remember.” -The VLT, Sundsvall Sweden.

“This guy is not to be missed.” -Editor, BrianMay.com

“No detail is overlooked. Killer Queen are kings of the musical impersonators, the highest of tributes.” -Duncan Kennedy, BBC 1

And soon, Killer Queen will be bringing the excitement of a Queen concert Stateside, to both new and longtime fans!

The 1980s were a unique, fun-filled era of music shaped in no small part by the emergence of MTV and the genre of New Wave. Fans will soon have a chance to step back in time to the electrifying era of the '80s with a music tour that promises a nostalgic journey of iconic sounds and unforgettable melodies.

Wang Chung, Men Without Hats, The Motels, and Naked Eyes have joined forces to create a musical extravaganza that transports audiences to the heart of the neon-soaked, synth-driven decade with the impending launch of the Abducted by the '80s Tour.

Get ready to dance, sing along, and relive the magic of the 80s with this unforgettable music tour, including mega-hits such as "Everybody Have Fun Tonight," "Dance Hall Days," "Let's Go," "To Live and Die in L.A.," "Safety Dance," "Pop Goes The World," "Only The Lonely," "Suddenly Last Summer," "Take The L," "Always Something There To Remind Me," and "Promises, Promises."

"I'm so excited to be reunited with Wang Chung and Naked Eyes for the Abducted by the Eighties tour this year," says the Motels' Martha Davis. "Nick, Jack, and Pete are some of my favorite people, not to mention amazing musicians! Hope to see you all there for some great nights and wonderful music."

"For our brand new tour this Spring, we have put together a group of acts that fit together musically, thematically, and harmoniously," adds Wang Chung's Nick Feldman and Jack Hues. "We wanted to create a night of big hits, big songs from your favorite movies and numerous TV shows, plus a few deeper cuts too. So come along and see us, get Abducted by the 80s, and have some FUN TONIGHT as you relive that magical decade!"

Combined, Wang Chung, Men Without Hats, The Motels, and Naked Eyes have recorded 28 Billboard Top 100 hits including eight top 10 hits.

"It's been an honor to work with these legendary artists on this tour.  With so many iconic 80s hits featured in the show, I know audiences will be in for a great night!” - Matt Rafal from Universal Attractions Agency
