The Felice Brothers are confirmed to headline Sunday night of the 2011 Truck America festival on September 11th at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY, alongside fellow headliners The Hold Steady and Okkervil River. The band has also added new dates to their ever-expanding fall US headlining tour - which includes a September 29th show at Webster Hall in New York City with Nicole Atkins and the Black Sea recently added as support - as well as additional festival plays at the Winocafest at Battleship Park in Wilmington, NC; Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati, OH; and Orlando Calling in Orlando, FL. Known for their raucous live show (check out a recent guitar-splintering performance of "River Jordan" in Rochester, NY) and indefatigable touring schedule (the band has already performed at SXSW, Coachella, the B.O.M.B. Fest, Clearwater Festival, and Calgary Folk Festival this year), The Felice Brothers will play next this Saturday, July 30th at the sold-out Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. A full itinerary is below.

The Felice Brothers wrapped up their seven-week long spring headlining tour and celebrated the May 10th release of their fourth full-length album Celebration, Florida (Fat Possum) with two sold-out shows at The Bell House in Brooklyn, NY, on May 18th. The album has been praised by publications including American Songwriter, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, SPIN, Time Out New York, and The Wall Street Journal, among many others, and an extensive interview with the band can be seen on Noisevox.org. The striking Ian Cinco-directed video for lead single "Ponzi," which premiered on The A.V. Club in May, can be seen here.

Athens, GA’s Futurebirds are nearing the end of a very busy year. After releasing two well-received EPs and touring nonstop with the likes of Drive-By Truckers, Widespread Panic, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Gary Clark, Jr., and J. Roddy Walston & The Business, the band is ready to head back to the studio to begin work on the follow up to their debut LP, Hampton’s Lullaby (2010). Lucky for us, the guys are bidding farewell to a successful 2011 and celebrating with one last US tour. Futurebirds will support Lucero on three early December dates before kicking off their Holiday Road Tour with Grass Giraffes on December 7th in Asheville, NC. The tour will be making a stop in Brooklyn on December 12th where they’ll be playing at Brooklyn Bowl.In conjunction with the Holiday Road Tour, Futurebirds have announced the release of the Holiday Road Super Single—a four-track split single with tour mates Grass Giraffes - which will be available exclusively at all tour stops. Futurebirds contribute tracks “Serial Bowls” and a cover of “nearsayerfive” by eddie the wheel (who plays in Grass Giraffes). The upbeat “Serial Bowls” is a textured recipe of jangly, hooky guitar licks and fuzzy reverb. “nearsayerfive”, on the other hand, is atmospheric and moody, complete with echoed vocals and a hypnotizing slide guitar.

Anderson - who has spent the better part of the year on the road in support of the May release of Past Life Martyred Saints. Since March, she and her band have performed at festivals including SXSW, the Pitchfork Music Festival, The Great Escape, Primavera Club, and the CMJ Music Marathon, while also touring aross the US, UK, and Europe as both a headliner (selling out the Mercury Lounge and Glasslands in New York) and as support to CSS, MEN, Wild Beasts, Kurt Vile, Zola Jesus, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., among others.A deluxe edition of Past Life Martyred Saints will be released exclusively via iTunes on February 7th, 2012 and will feature: original iTunes bonus track "To Leave With Love"; videos for album tracks "California", "Milkman", and "Marked"; and her cover of Nirvana's "Endless, Nameless", originally featured on SPIN's Nevermind tribute album Newermind, as well as the track's accompanying video. First Aid Kit's sophomore album The Lion's Roar is available exclusively via iTunes now, a week ahead of release in brick and mortar stores. The iTunes album version includes bonus track "Wolf," which has become a staple in their recent live shows across the US and Europe. Described by Relix as "...whiskey-soaked vocals wistfully hover above austere yet radiant arrangements, juxtaposing heart-wrenching lyrics and majestic melodies", the album will be released in all major retailers on January 24th via Wichita Recordings. The Lion's Roar has already been garnering high praise from the press, including Paste ('25 Albums We're Looking Forward To Most'), SPIN ('25 Winter Albums You've Gotta Hear'), and Teen Vogue ("Mix a generous helping of folk, a dash of country, and a dose of fairy-tale whimsy and you've got this übercool Swedish duo."), among others. The gorgeous, harmony-drenched folk-pop album from sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg can also currently be streamed in its entirety via NPR Music's Exclusive First Listen series.Earlier this month, First Aid Kit premiered the video for second single "Emmylou" on Vevo, while the video for the title track first single (and Entertainment Weekly 'Must List' pick) premiered on SPIN.com in November and can now be seen here as well. "Emmylou" is also currently the iTunes free 'Single of the Week', while third album track, "King of the World" (feat. Conor Oberst and The Felice Brothers), is Starbucks' 'Pick of the Week' and can be downloaded as a free MP3 by picking up a gratis download card in all stores.First Aid Kit will return to North America for a headlining tour this spring, following a nearly six-week long tour of Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. The tour will begin on March 28th at Webster Hall in New York, NY, and will wrap up on April 22nd with their second weekend performance at the Coachella Music and Arts festival in Indio, CA. A full itinerary is below. The follow up to 2010's highly-praised debut LP The Big Black & The Blue, The Lion's Roar finds First Aid Kit at their finest, singing bittersweet songs that frequently juxtapose sadness and beauty. Whether the glorious title track opener, the achingly lovely "Emmylou", or the distant reverb and atmospherics of "New Year's Eve", the Söderbergs' evocative, preternatural harmonies and remarkable songwriting take centerstage throughout the album. The Lion's Roar was recorded with Mike Mogis (of Bright Eyes and Monsters Of Folk; also producer of Cursive, Lightspeed Champion, Pete Yorn, and many others) in May 2011 at his ARC Studios in Omaha, NE.First Aid Kit tour dates:FEB. 3                    LUND, SE                            MEJERIETFEB. 4                    STOCKHOLM, SE                  DEBASER MEDIS (all ages)FEB. 4                    STOCKHOLM, SE                  DEBASER MEDISFEB. 6                    HELSINKI, FI                       TAVASTIAFEB. 7                    TURKU, FI                           KLUBIFEB. 9                    BERGEN, NO                        KVATERETFEB. 10                  OSLO, NO                            BLAFEB. 11                  COPENHAGEN, DK                VEGAFEB. 13                  HAMBURG, DE                      PRINZENBARFEB. 14                  COLOGNE, DE                      GEBAUDE 9FEB. 15                  ROTTERDAM, GE                  PARADIJSKERKFEB. 16                  BRUSSELS, BE                     PIAS NIGHT @ TOUR AND TAXISFEB. 18                  FRANKFURT, DE                   BROTFABRIKFEB. 19                  BERLIN, DE                         POSTBAHNHOFFEB. 20                  ZURICH, CH                        MASCOTTE CLUBFEB. 22                  PARIS, FR                           POINT EPHEMEREFEB. 23                  LONDON, UK                       KINGS COLLEGEFEB. 24                  MANCHESTER, UK                ACADEMY 3FEB. 25                  DUBLIN, UK                         WORKMAN'S CLUBFEB. 27                  GLASGOW, UK                      KING TUT'SFEB. 28                  LEEDS, UK                           THE WARDROBEFEB. 29                  BRISTOL, UK                        THEKLAMAR. 8                   WELLINGTON, NZ                 WELLINGTON ARTS FESTIVALMAR. 10                 ADELAIDE, AU                      WOMAD FESTIVALMAR. 11                 MEREDITH, AU                     GOLDEN PLAINS FESTIVALMAR. 12                 MELBOURNE, AU                   SPIEGELTENTMAR. 14                 MELBOURNE, AU                   NORTHCOTE SOCIAL CLUBMAR. 15                 SYDNEY, AU                          THE STANDARDMAR. 16                 BRISBANE, AU                      THE ZOOMAR. 28                 NEW YORK, NY                      WEBSTER HALLMAR. 30                 WASHINGTON, DC                 BLACK CATMAR. 31                 PHILADELPHIA, PA                 UNION TRANSFER APR. 2                    BOSTON, MA                         BRIGHTON MUSIC HALL APR. 3                    MONTREAL, QC                      LA SALA ROSSAAPR. 4                    TORONTO, ON                       THE GREAT HALL APR. 6                    CHICAGO, IL                         LINCOLN HALL APR. 7                    MINNEAPOLIS, MN                 CEDAR CULTURAL CENTER APR. 10                  VANCOUVER, BC                    VENUEAPR. 11                  SEATTLE, WA                         THE CROCODILE APR. 12                  PORTLAND, OR                      DOUG FIR LOUNGE APR. 15                  INDIO, CA                             COACHELLAAPR. 18                  SAN FRANCISCO, CA              SLIM'SAPR. 22                  INDIO, CA                             COACHELLAAUG. 31-SEPT. 2     NORTH DORSET UK                 END OF THE ROAD FESTIVAL

Jim Eno - drummer for Spoon and producer of artists including Telekinesis, !!!, Heartless Bastards, and The Relatives - has launched Public Hi-Fi Records, a label extension of his Austin, TX studio. Like his recent Spotify Sessions with The Shins, Father John Misty, Poliça, and Tennis, among others, the label will be entirely curated by Eno. He will also produce and engineer each release, with a focus on sonic quality. Public Hi-Fi Records is designed to be an outlet for unsigned artists he's recorded, and as a means to issue special pressings of previously unreleased tracks from his array of artist sessions. All releases will be on limited edition 12-inch vinyl (only 500 pressed) with accompanying high quality digital downloads.Public Hi-Fi Records' first release will be Nuestro Camino, from B3 trio Dupree, on April 30th, 2013. The band - Mike Flanigin, Jake Langley, and Kyle Thompson - is a fixture in the Austin music scene, and carries on the organ trio tradition of the '50s and '60s that blends swing, blues, boogaloo, and pop with a little country and rock to create their own uniquely Texan sound. Nuestro Camino was recorded live in a single afternoon and laid directly to 2-track analog tape with no post mixing or overdubbing. The result is a positively human six songs that modernizes this classic style with the vigor of any rock band - it's "Texas music for everyday people," according to Flanigin. From the sneakily insistent groove of "The Turtle" (stream here: https://soundcloud.com/public-hi-fi-records/the-turtle) to the taut, moody "All Or Nothing At All" and the languid, slinky sashay of "Moto Guzzi," Nuestro Camino brings something new and unfamiliar to the foreground that'll get people smiling, dancing, laughing, and listening. A full track listing is below; the 12-inch vinyl release will feature six tracks and the digital release will include four additional songs. The vinyl and 8-track can be pre-ordered here, while the digital album can be pre-ordered here.More news on upcoming releases from Public Hi-Fi Records will be announced soon.Nuestro Camino 12-inch track listing:
