Fresh from Atlas Studios in Boulder Co, George Hunter recorded “Fool’s Gold” with Lifted Entertainment. Hunter wrote out a funk-flamenco fused pop burner about letting go of inhibition and going for what you really want.

George started playing music in middle school orchestra, and in high school played in the East High School Orchestra under the direction of jazz saxophonist Keith Oxman. He went on to play briefly with the MSU symphony before transferring majors. “I just got burnt out with the rigidity and competitiveness of classical music, and I wanted to explore different kinds of music.” Shortly after that Hunter joined with the Zuruna Middle Eastern Ensemble, and started playing at bluegrass and celtic jams around Colorado. Then George formed his first group called BANG! In 2014, and performed with several groups including Metafonics, Tito Malaga Band, The High Desert, Matt Rouch, Joel Ansett, A-Mac DZ, Gladys and others at venues including Cervantes Other Side, Globe Hall, Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox, and Syntax Physic Opera.

Supporting the first show for his newest solo project George has put together an all-star lineup.  The Wandering Woods is excited to bring their Funk, Jazz, Fusion back To Denver. Gladys coming fresh off of the release of their new EP “Improper Measurements”. Gaia's Groove is Roland Hansen’s (Formerly of Greener Grounds) newest project that is poised to take the world by storm.

The jamtronica group FloatGoat, from Denver, CO, is announcing the release of their newest single "Scrumpies". Achieving the next level of jamtronica, the group steps into a micro-particle funk portal unlike anything floating goats have ever heard. The roots of this funk portal come from jazz/rock fusion, and more virtuous parts over longer jazz influenced chord progressions. The licks get scrumpadellic in this track, but always expect more improvisation in a live performance. FloatGoat was inspired to write this tune on a tour with Evanoff after playing Animas City Theatre in Durango some dude kept making up funny words for things, and one was scrumpies, 'The stuff that sticks to your foot after a raging party'. Come rage with us as you listen to “Scrumpies” available now.

On Saturday January 20th FloatGoat will be headlining Globe Hall with support from Denver’s own Gaia’s Groove. Tickets available here, https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/1607915.

FloatGoat is a jamtronica group playing EDM, House, and Funk. They have shared the stage with Evanoff, Tnertle, and Krewella. They have also performed at The Underground Music Showcase and Shamanic Boom.
