PAPADOSIO “captures the sound of the digital age” (Sensible Reason 2015) but this month they are curating a celebration of natural forces with the fifth installment of Earth Night. The two-night event kicks off on December 18th at Terminal West where Papadosio will present their rare, live improvisational PA set along with special guests Third Nature and Numatik. On Saturday December 19th, the celebration continues at the historic Tabernacle Atlanta. Performing alongside Papadosio, described as a “mad genius” by Rolling Stone Magazine, is the Grammy-nominated, funk-soul-jazz bass virtuoso Thundercat. The band will also welcome TAUK, who are “arguably the hottest instrumental prog-fusion quartet out of New York City” (Grateful Web 9/3/2015). Single and two-day tickets are on sale now via LiveNation. Full details on the two-day event can be found at www.Earth-Night.com.

Papadosio is also excited to announce their non-profit partners for Earth Night V: ATL. In 2012, Earth Night founder & Papadosio’s visual designer Jason Takahashi, expressed his hope that “Earth Night can become a real thing- a new type of holiday/celebration for future generations that recognizes some of the living truths that are emerging at this great time in history to remind humanity of the amazing legacy of this awesome place we call Earth.” Now in its 5th year, the annual event has come to be a holiday & celebration for the future among Papadosio fans and beyond.

PAPADOSIO just released their fourth music video from their latest album Extras In A Movie, for the song “Out of Hiding”,  animated by Thomas Robertson Forrest (aka Goatfaced). Check it out here: http://bit.ly/outofhidingofficial.

Anthony Thogmartin of Papadosio describes “Out of Hiding” as “the feeling you get when you have done something so uncharacteristic of your better judgment that you feel wounded by your own deeds.”  The short follows a wolf who, after being wounded in a fight, has to make his way back to his true nature.

One of the most interesting things about the song, the band has discovered, is that it inspired a shared vision. Without knowledge of the band’s video in progress, YouTube user Circle Patch released their own version. The 12-year old stop motion animation artist created a full length music video, also featuring a wolf, which has striking similarities.

See Papadosio’s newest music video here: http://bit.ly/outofhidingofficial

And check out their other singles from Extras In A Movie: Anima Mundi, Glimpse of Light, and Epiphany.

Catch the band on the road this spring; tour dates below.

On Friday, April 29th at the Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans, many of the nation's finest musicians will come together during the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival to bring you an all night live music event featuring nine bands on two simultaneous stages. This year's diverse line up consists of several varieties of funk and dance music flavored with soul, afro-beat, jazz fusion, rock and New Orleans rhythms. The Bayou Rendezvous will rage all night, from 9PM to 8AM, and is always one of the most memorable and unique night shows during Jazz Fest!

Starting the night off in the main room will be a special set paying tribute to the late great Allan Toussaint and his immense catalogue of classics. New Orleans Suspects, a super group with members of The Neville Brothers, James Brown's Band & The Radiators will be performing along with John "Papa" Gros, The Naughty Professor Horns and Special Guests: Roosevelt Collier (The Lee Boys), Natalie Cressman (Trey Anastasio Band), and more.

Dr. Klaw, a super group made up of Eric Krasno and Adam Deitch from Lettuce, Nick Daniels III and Ian Neville from Dumpstaphunk and Nigel Hall from The Warren Haynes Band, will make a rare appearance at this year's Bayou Rendezvous. They are one of the funkiest bands around, and will surely bring the heat that only this combination can muster up. They have a soon to be released album coming out, and their set will surely showcase some of the band's new original music.

The Bayou Rendezvous All-Stars is an exciting combination of master musicians put together exclusively for this year's event, and features Dead and Company and Allman Brothers Band bassist, Oteil Burbridge, his brother Kofi Burbridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band), local New Orleans legends, Ivan Neville, Stanton Moore & Johnny Vidacovich, along with guitar god, Eric McFadden (P-Funk, Anders Osborne). The line up for this band consists of two drummers, two keyboardist, guitar and bass, and will surely deliver a unique and powerful set.

Polyrhythmics, a funky eight piece afro-beat band from Seattle, WA will close out the main stage. Aside from playing their fantastic original music, they will also be debuting DEAD BEAT, a tribute to the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia with new funky afro-beat arrangements featuring special guests from The Motet and Monophonics.

The Den stage, will start off with Good Enough For Good Times, a traditional Bayou Rendezvous favorite, who will bring their tight groove orientated instrumental sounds to the intimate setting. This band is made up of Galactic's Rob Mercurio and Jeff Raines along with Simon Lott (Charlie Hunter) and Joe Ashler (Eddie Roberts). Next up will be Magic Gravy, an improvisational trio consisting of Dan (Lebo) Lebowitz from ALO along with Dave Watts and Garrett Sayers from The Motet. This line up has been around for years, but their acclaimed live shows are rare, and should not be missed.

Moon Hooch from Brooklyn, NY, will get the late night dance party started with their percussion and saxophone based "Cave Music." Their set will be followed by fellow New Yorker's, Sophistafunk, a multi-genre tour de force from Syracuse. This year's legendary Sunrise Breakfast Jam will feature 4 Piece Puzzle (Lake Tahoe, CA) and lots of special guests. Breakfast will be served and the band will keep the festival pros dancing well past sunrise.

Chris Rossbach, Zigaboo Modeliste's guitarist, will be this year's Artist at Large and will be sitting in with several acts throughout the night. DJ Disco E (Ian from Monophonics) and DJ Rippin' Riff will be spinning rare groove tweener sets to keep the music going all night.
