Esteemed blues guitarist Alastair Greene presents eleven new studio tracks on his debut release with the prestigious German label Ruf Records, STANDING OUT LOUD – ten original compositions and one classic nod to Canned Heat and Rory Gallagher. The album was recorded in Nashville with co-producer JD Simo and in his current hometown, Austin, TX, with engineer Hunter St. Marie.

Guitar virtuoso Alastair Greene has artfully managed a dynamic solo career while contributing to the music of notable artists such as Grammy-winner Alan Parsons and soul blues Grammy nominee Sugaray Rayford. Greene's latest release, STANDING OUT LOUD, is a commanding declaration poised to solidify his position as a seasoned veteran in the blues rock world.

Blues Rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter, Alastair Greene’s career has been on a steady climb, a soaring musical journey, welcoming a continuous flow of new projects and challenges. With albums launched under esteemed labels like Delta Groove Productions, Rip Cat Records, and Tab Benoit’s Whiskey Bayou Records, he sets the stage for the release of his sixth studio album, marking his eleventh overall, in the Spring of 2024.

Tab Benoit packed the house last night and boy was he happy to be playing live music. The Fort Collins crowd welcomed him and his band with open arms and hearts. When Tab is not melting your face with his guitar and vocals you can usually find him behind the drum kit, yup he is multi-instrumental. He is not just a drummer he plays the drums with energy and power.

Tab Benoit’s Whiskey Bayou Records is releasing a solo acoustic version of Alastair Greene’s “Bayou Mile,” a song from his critically acclaimed recent album THE NEW WORLD BLUES. The single will be available worldwide February 26, 2021.

Whiskey Bayou Records has announced the October 23rd release of The New World Blues by Alastair Greene, produced by Whiskey Bayou co-founder Tab Benoit. The new single Living Today is out now.

Benoit’s label partner, Rueben Williams, also manager to Greene and Benoit, enthuses, “On The New World Blues, Alastair makes it clear why he is a ‘guitar player’s guitar player’ and this recording will surely leave the Alastair Greene stamp on the Blues Rock World.”

Dream Train was a very special album to make. I was fortunate to have some amazing special guests to contribute to the record: Walter Trout, Debbie Davies, and Mike Zito all played brilliant guitar solos on the album. We also brought in David Z (Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy) to produce.
