For more than a decade Marco Benevento has been amassing an extensive résumé of composition and collaboration, sparking the interest of a seemingly endless list of acclaimed musicians, including Carl Newman, Mark Eitzel and Matt Chamberlain, all leading to collaborative efforts.

Los Angeles rockers Everest release their third full-length album, Ownerless, today on ATO Records. Last night the band and friends celebrated the album's release on the rooftop of the McKittrick Hotel (home of Sleep No More) in New York City.  Tonight, the band will perform in Washington D.C. at LivingSocial's brand new hot spot, 918 f Street, for their record release party.

Music On the Mountaintop has confirmed the second round of artists slated for the fifth annual three-day music festival outside of Boone, North Carolina this August 24-26, 2012. The newest artists joining the performer lineup at the camping festival includes: The Dirty Dozen Brass Band; Greensky Bluegrass; Naked Gods; Rose's Pawn Shop; and Salem Speaks.

On September 11th the quickly rising indie art rockers Rubblebucket will be unleashing an EP, which will be their fourth proper release to date. Recorded and produced in between festival appearances this June by Ryan Hadlock (The Gossip, Ra Ra Riot, Blonde Redhead) in Seattle's famed Bear Creek Studios  - this EP takes Brooklyn's freshest octet to a new level.

Over With You, Steve Forbert’s first studio album in three years, is a focused song cycle featuring an earnest account of the often-mixed emotions involved in personal relationships. The ten new compositions combine the plainspoken honesty and insightful contemplations into this topic that perhaps only a man from Mississippi, the home state of both Jimmie Rodgers and Tennessee Williams, could provide.

Thunderous oscillations expand violently from center stage, miraculously freed from a vintage Moog chipset only to be captured by my outer pinna, which sends the tone swirling inward toward the depths of my cochlea. The synthetic drone weaves through a latticework of scenestirs and technocrats occupying Seattle's Showbox Theater this evening.
