When Sly and The Family Stone hit the scene back in the late ‘60s, the world – socially, culturally and politically – was in a state of upheaval.  And their music perfectly evangelized the moment.  Today, we stand dangerously at the edge of a similar precipice – and that message of celebratory potential and jubilant clarity is sorely needed.

Deep vibes permeate the newest EP from live bass music posse Sounduo, "Live For The Future", forthcoming April 23rd on Gravitas Recordings. Although the album focuses on nostalgic flavor from reggae, jungle, and dancehall, these genres are aptly rejuvenated with an injection of new school sub heavy sounds and a touch of glitchy zest.

Fresh off the heels of their Australian and European tour, Counting Crows and The Wallflowers, who just came off a highly successful Eric Clapton arena tour, announced their U.S. summer tour. The 22-stop tour will make its way to Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on June 27th. The Travelin' McCourys will bring the Bluegrass Ball to Shoe Fest 2013 over the weekend of September 6-8th. Shoe Fest is a three day outdoor music and camping event featuring live music performances which will take place at Camp Shaw-waw-nas-see in Manteno, IL.This year's installment of the midwest festival will feature bluegrass legends, The Travelin' McCourys, and witness the return of the Ben Miller Band, Ed Anderson, Jaik Willis and more.
