Twice a year, in May and October, the Joshua Tree Lake RV and Campground awakens from it’s desert slumber to welcome a few thousand music fans from around the world to join together and create one of the most magical communities imaginable.  The 14th annual Joshua Tree Music Festival took place from May 12 – May 15 and this year proved to be yet another spellbinding experience complete with music from around the globe, light and physical art installations, painters, dancers, stilt walkers, and bodywork ins

They are a study in contrasts.

Cara Luft, all earth mother, ebullient and engaging; and burly JD Edwards looking like a long-haul trucker in t-shirt and jean jacket, slightly intimidating (until you meet him). At first glance few would peg them for a highly creative musical partnership. Yet these two veteran singer/songwriters, with a dozen critically-acclaimed albums between them, have teamed up to form a dynamic new duo, The Small Glories.

Just in time for summer, Baltimore's legendary reggae artist Jah Works is excited to release its 10th album entitled “Believe” Emerging out of the East Coast reggae scene over 20 years ago, this is real authentic roots reggae, forged on the road performing hundreds of shows a year in the US and worldwide. The Jah Works sound is firmly planted in the roots of Jamaican music and culture, encompassing rock steady, reggae, and elements of dancehall and dub.

Brooklyn-based progressive funk band, The Phryg, announce the release of their new single, “Turn You Out,” premiering via Kingston Music. This is the second track from their upcoming self-titled studio album, set to release this July. The Phryg was recorded with Mike Gevaza at Continental Studios in Long Island, NY, and Shelter Island Studios in Manhattan, NY. Their fans, “Phrygsters,” drove this album to its full potential, thanks to an online fundraiser supporting the completion of it.

An electrifying force of Americana music have folks buzzing about The Drunken Hearts and the band’s fiery sound. Forged on Colorado's high peaks and river banks, the band is comprised of five gentlemen that came together to create an honest brand of alternative Americana that resonates with audiences everywhere.

Conceived in 1989 by Jorma & Vanessa Kaukonen, The Fur Peace Ranch is nestled in the rolling foothills of southeast Ohio. It is a place where both budding and seasoned musicians can immerse themselves and emerge with renewed inspiration and tangible progress in their music. Workshops are held throughout the Summer and into the Fall. Upcoming bass workshops are taught by master musicians Kai Eckardt and Bobby Vega.
